That´s ok poppers. I don´t believe ya though. Worldly people just don´t wander into a site like this.
Well I came here to find out why a 4th grade student of mine would bring religious tracts to school to pass out to her classmates, which by law I couldn't allow. But knowing little about JWs I needed to understand her motivation. This is where I ended up. I stayed here because the human wreckage that was left in the wake of those who could no longer in good conscience be witnesses couldn't be ignored. Too many similar stories convinced me that most people here were honest about their experiences. I continued to stay because I came to like the people here.
You have been welcomed huh?
Yes.
So you haven´t been called a dog in almost every post like Outlaw does to me?
No. When you are here a while you get to know how certain posters respond, especially when they see BS and hypocritical behavior.
Not to mention other mockings?
No. I've never given reason to be mocked. You set yourself up from the beginning so why are you surprised to see it continue? You rung your bell right off the bat, and you can't unring it.
Well, then you probably are an apostate but not telling me the truth.
A completely unfounded assumption, but which has probably already solidified in your mind as a truth. But I understand the dynamic; people do that all the time. They make assumptions about others and then relate not to the person themselves but to the assumption they have about them.
If you tow the party line that the org is bad and apostates are good, chances are nothing will happen to you.
There is no party line in not being a Witness. I don't label apostates as good because being an apostate really means nothing to me. I try to see people for what they are, not what others label them as.
Apostates love to gang up on others. Keep on watching my posts and you´ll see.
I've already seen it - you keep giving them reason to. When you stop banging your head against the wall you'll feel better.
I haven´t acted in any way that the bible doesn´t give me power to. Jesus called the apostates vipers and snakes. I do the same. Are you saying I shouldn´t follow my lord? So there.
And you wonder why people "gang up" on you? It's in your attitude, which is quite immature. Also, using a "holy book" as sanction to mistreat others is reprehensible.
I never want that point EVER AGAIN to be talked to of me because I just defeated it with a scriptural example. The sly apostate way has been pulled on me before but I always defeat it with that example and it drives the apostates crazy! HAHA...
It seems to me you go looking for fights from "apostates" so you can do just that. You don't seem interested in honest dialogue.
If they WANT a WT free land to go and really just complain about every nook and cranny of the organization that is fine.
Legitimate concerns need an outlet for expression. Are you saying there are no legitimate reasons to complain, just "nooks and crannies" to nitpick at?
But don´t sit here and call it Jehovah´s witness.net. That gives the LYINGLY implication that this site is for active witnesses.
I seem to remember reading that this site was orginally created and named by Simon for active witnesses to vent their concerns because there was no other outlet to do so, and it evolved into what it is now because his own views changed as he himself learned more. So now it is a place for some new people to have a chance to face what they ordinarily aren't willing to, and if they come here at least that opportunity is here. Some wander in and see it for what it is and leave right away. Others wander in and start to see clearly that they've been mislead by the WT and end up leaving the JWs. If you've become convinced you've been lied to and you leave the witnesses why is that wrong, and why should they be punished for that? Why should anyone be denied the right to follow their own conscience? Isn't that a basic right? Yet others wander in here, see it for what it is, and try to defend the WT. Some of those do it with tact and courtesy, and most people here respond in kind, but others make a big rukus and then get confronted. But anytime BS or hypocrisy is seen you can bet your bottom dollar there will be people who react most vigorously.
NOT apostates. I am saying go to another site or change the name of this one to reflect what it truly is. It is apostateland.
Turn about is fair play. Why doesn't the WT openly display their warts and seamy side to the outside world? Claiming to be God's sole true representative seems pretty misleading to me. How many people have been duped by the Witnesses, unaware of certain consequences until it's too late? Why don't the JWs tell householders what will happen to them if they study, get baptized, and later change their minds and want to leave? Unlike those people you only need to leave this place if you don't like it. They cannot do the same without consequences.
NOTHING about Jehovah is here and nothing about his true witnesses are here.
I've seen much caring, concern, and love for others here based on the normal human response to be helpful. That trumps what "true witnesses" resort to in my book. To have that normal response systematically snuffed out by WT teachings is disturbing in the least and outright cruel in its implementation.
Therefore the website is MISLEADING. It is a lie. As a so-called innocent bystander you should feel that the name is very wrong right?
Very wrong? Not in my opinion. Misleading? I'll give you that much, but if one person comes here accidentally and ends up leaving "the truth" because their conscience has been re-awakened and they shake off WT dictates then I see nothing wrong with it. Sound familiar? Isn't it called "theocratic warfare?".
It is not bothering my conscience one bit. I follow the example of Jesus when it comes to apostates. I am kind to people that truly want to know the truth in the world.
You mean the truth as you believe it. And if they don't believe as you what happens to them - they are labeled "apostate", just as you've labeled me, despite my never having been a witness, or perhaps are viewed as "bird food" and not worthy of association. Isn't that the general attitude toward nonwitnesses?
But if they are just trying to bait me to set me up for an apostate trap, I always see right through it and defend the truth. I just point out that apostates mock.
Some people mock, there are all kinds in this world. You would have me believe that JWs aren't capable of demeaning behavior.
Have I been proven true by the members actions here? Yup. Do you find mockings and cruelty in the meetings of Jehovah´s witnesses? Nope. Oh, the oh so mighty false righteous apostates will tell you that every meeting is a mocking...
I have no desire to be part of any religious group. And I don't find that my time here is a waste; that's your judgment, not mine.
If I want to try out a restaurant I don´t go to that anti restaurant website do I? NO...I go to the freaking place and have a meal. If you are really worldly and not an apostate, that is what you are doing. You are going by other´s words about the restaurant instead of ordering the chicken sandwich to try it for yourself.
Sorry, but I'm not convinced that what's on the JW menu is what is advertised. Too many people here have reported "food poisoning" and actual death coming out of that establishment.
