Wow. This is some wild shit. Gracias for the info. I was one of those suspicious bastards. Feel a little guiltly, now. Danni actually mailed me to apologize. Wasn't looking for it, but if you're reading this thread, Danni, sorry. It's a damn shame this had to happen to you, but you're doing the right thing, now that I know you are kosher.

We Ex-JW's are a wily bunch; strange shit has happened to us.

No other PARKFOOT HILLS results in the search. Perhaps the cong in Florida is new and hasn't been registered yet.

Incidently, I put Florida into the engine...nothing resulted BUT the Texas hall. All I can suggest is a call to the hall.

Danni has guts and she deserves all our genuine concern for her.
This post was forthright and I for one feel all this is on the up and up, because what possible thing could anyone gain from playing a game here. If some of you get email from her please tell her that she has my support 100%.

What court issued this "gag" order. That can't possibly be privileged information.

    Reborn,

Thanks for your comments, they are appreciated
    -----------------------------
    Marilyn,

I was starting to think you didn't like me. I have never seen you respond to anything I have said before. I thought that rotten Alan F said something bad about me. Either him or that little
VeniceIT munchkin. I have told her time and time again I am too old for her. You know, that woman
    scorned thing.

    -------------------------------

Andee, It looks like I said that wrong. Issued by the court, filed by the good old boys.
Your neutral status is sometimes the best way to go.

    --------------------------------

    Skipper,

    Shut UP!

I will answer the novel that you sent to me in the email as soon as I can.
Just keep on thinking, it's what you do best. I always get a kick out of you.

    --------------------------------

    Joel,

As I have told you several times. If you ever want to email me I will take the time to answer you.
Where ever you are, I'm pretty sure you will end up where you need to be.

I do not know were Danni or this incident took place. I have not asked. By her bio I figured it was in Florida. Alan F looked up the hint Mark gave and came up with El Paso. At this point I don't know and I do not see why it matters. Some feel it does matter so it must be important to them. I have a gut feeling it might be Florida but that could be just a little indigestion talking. Again, outside of the tape recorder legal issue I don't see why I need to know that particular information.

    Fred,

    Refiners Fire,

Just because Danni and Darryl are cops does not mean they are not sinners. I personally think that
sinning is a cute name for being normal.

Try not to use up the entire board with your thoughts. I like a person who can cut to the chase like you. Thanks man.

    SF,

    Do you Yahoo?

    Dana,

Go for it woman, it's never too late to right a wrong.

    ----------------------------------------

    Andee

That is a good observation. Like I told Alan some congregations do not necessarily use the name of their city in the name of their congregation. They can take a non incorporated community name or a name of a geographical marker. In some cities like that have the word "saint" in them like St. Louis or
St. Petersburg the JW's will not use that cities name because of it. Trying to find it on a map of cities names my be impossible. There was a congregation here where I live that was in the city of St.Johns. They changed the name to be (if I can recall) Foot Hills or River Side or something like that. They were at the foot hills of what is known as the West Hills and they were also close to the Willamette River.

Again, I do not see why it is important but for those who do, have fun looking. I want to respect the fact that Danni did not want to disclose the exact location and I can understand and do not want or need to know.

    Did I miss anyone?

I can certainly vouch for Dave's knowledge about child molesters experiences in jail. I worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections for two years, and that's where I ran across it. Child molesters had to be kept separate from the general population, just like Dave says. If they had been put out in general lockup, the murderers, rapists, armed robbers, assault artists, and litterers would have made the life of the abuser nasty, brutal, and short.

When the lowest level of scum on the planet looks down on you for what you've done, you're pretty fuckin' low. And child abusers are just that. Assaulting little ones, powerless ones is unforgiveable. I wonder why we let the government do it to us?

    Thanks for the calm,
    Thanks for the compassion
    Thanks for the smarts.

In answer to your post that follows this one, I voluntarily choose to edit my comments out of this thread. I take your word that comments here are jeopardizing the well being of ones involved.

Hi All - I'd expect a trained cop suspecting a major sex crime and a consipracy to conceal it, to seek an arrest and conviction. Unless I've misunderstood all this convoluted, emotive story, I don't belive it for one second.

I say the cops suspected a crime because Danni's opening line was:

I want to get straight to the point and ask about children being molested, parents being discoraged from reporting the crimes to the police and women being raped and warned they talk they will be kicked out of the organization. Would you please address those allegations one at time?
It seems that they made a personal point, but didn't get far in building a case. If I were a DA or Detective or state Governer (Texas or Florida???) and woke on Wednesday morning to news that a court had issued a 'gag order' on officers with 'evidence' like that, I'd be mighty pissed with the officers (as it happens, this is convenient for the story's sponsor as is his 'need' to keep details 'secret')

Either they were doing a police job (in which case they stuffed up big time), or they were doing a personal job while conducting themselves as officers?

I say they presented themselves as officers because Daryl said:

Let's get one thing straight here before you start quoting the law to us. In the course of a general investigation of a suspected or reported crime, a police officer may stop and question any persons whom he believes may have information about the event.
It's got to be personal or business - not a blend. If they did go for a blend, maybe they should shut up about it - their boss should be very displeased with the outcome.

If I were at Dateline and got the story presented here, I'd be either sending it down to Hard Copy or building a story on Police incompetance.

refiners fire asked a reasonable question, but I think draws the wrong conclusion from it:

Imagine your a cop. Youre going to a meeting about child molestation. You walk into a cold. empty. dark hall. you go into a back room and theres 3 guys in suits. plus, a secret observer on a speaker box,who weighs in with legal opinion.
What I'd expect a cop to do it withdraw, get back-up, get legal advice, involve trained major crime investigators and do everything to win an arrest and conviction.

On the basis of what's been writtten, it's got the same level of credibility to me as the 'GB member' on H2O did a couple of years ago.

Max - who tires of this kind of nonsense very quickly...

Max, read again. There was no case to build, as far as anyone knew. That was never the point. Why you assumed such is beyond me.

Now then, as this all washes out, one has to wonder if they stumbled into the middle of something embarassing?

You tire of this kind of nonsense? What nonsense?

(in which case why wear uniform and why lean so much on the badge for credibility?

Speaking of nonsense, why did you say that? Danni mentioned specifically, more than once, that she and her partner were not in uniform.

It is no wonder if the society is using/abusing the legal system to the full. I wonder much about the apostate that believes they are legitimate in doing so.
