PP - im not a native english speaker so forgive a stupid question - what is a "blinker" as in: "The issue for many WT translators is that the magazines and publications are strechng Bible verses......and translators have to deal with that. There are two ways - blinkers, or liberalism in translation"

In the UK, a "blinker" or more accurately a "set of blinkers" is a device placed on the eyes of a horse to narrow its' field of vision, often when travelling on a road. The word is used of humans to denote that people are "narrowminded" and exclude information from consideration that may contradict their beliefs.
In this context, translators decide to pretend there are no logic gaps, force the translation, and often get complaints from the field that the material is incomprehensible.
