    Frency:

An elder I served with stopped by the other day and told me that the meetings lately were just great. I was tempted to ask him who had moved in and who had changed the information being presented.

That is a good idea for a comeback. But I am sure the elder was trying to be encouraging.

    LB,
Don't sweat about it to much. He may have been trying to be friendly (there are a few of 'em left y'know)!

    LB:
Your picture (if that’s your picture) looks remarkably like a friend of mine who died not long ago. I agree with what has been said about your being able to handle this. I think you’ll do fine. It’s probably nothing at all but an attempt to ‘encourage’ you back in.

    Outnfree:
Thank you very much for your kind words.

Teejay: “Seems to me Jehovah is more interested in testing people's willingness to believe WHERE a message comes from rather than getting the chance to hear the message itself. But hey, what do I know?!! God DOES work in mysterious ways, eh?”

    Perhaps.

Ozzie: “Do ya remember the KM School that was devoted to showing us how to use the WT Publications Index! LOL”

You bet! Ours was in Baton Rouge, LA. "Brothers, you have what you need!" LOL. I took so many notes, my fingers got cramps. BTW, the lunch was lousy!

Prisca: “That is a good idea for a comeback. But I am sure the elder was trying to be encouraging.”

He was and I would never tell him something like that. He’s in his 90’s now and I can’t help but feel that he was hurt by the re-definition of ‘generation’. He never said anything, but I know that he and his wife fully expected to walk into the new order. I think that they know now that this will not happen.

Frenchy I'm sorry about your friend. Yes that's a pic of me taken a couple of months ago. Glad to say I'm pretty healthy these days.

It's probably just as you say Frenchy, an attempt to encourage me back in. But I think all us trying to fade away get paranoid at times.

It took me 4 years to be able to put up any exterior christmas decorations on the house, but hubby said why was I worried, guilty feeling I guess, or scared some JW may drive by and see it and surely gossip about me, gossip was the going thing in my ex cong. finally I decided to hell with it and I haven't turned back since. I do what makes me feel good and don't worry about what other people think.
