Latin for "Jerusalem is destroyed."
Uprisings against Jews in Germany and other countries during the early 19th century were called Hep-Hep Riots.

It has been 40 years since I had a Latin class, but I do not remember them putting the verb at the end of the sentence.
I thought only German did that.
Thanks, JWoods.
I'm self-taught in Latin.
LOL.

I saw the thread title and thought this thread was about a fungal disease, or bacterial infection.
All Gaulia es divisa in partes tres.
(All France is divided in three parts) - first words of the war commentaries of Julius Caesar.
In vino est veritas or in vino veritas est?
In wine, there is truth, or something like that.
I can't remember where the est goes?

In vino est veritas, I think.
What I can't remember is if it could be gramatically correct to put the verb at the end in some cases.
In vino veritas is often continued, "In vino veritas, in aqua sanitas", i.e., "In wine there is truth, in water there is health."
Why didn't I think of Wiki?
Thanks, UC.
