    Sleepy,
I would like it if it's curry because I love hot and spicy food.

Don't you also have something called bubbles & squeek or something like that?

Now I see why there are no English restaurants.

"it's like the one thing we all have in common is that we
got played by a cult and a bunch of old men and no matter what it will
always be a part of us no matter how much we distance ourselves from it"

    Warning,

Anyone fixated on English food should be shown pictures of Robbie Coltrane naked, front and back views.

This is the inevitable fate of those who devour such appalling chunks of splodge, called British Cuisine.

As a gourmet, I can vote with you on 1,3,5, 9 & 10. However, I've never seen a "British" Resturant in America...or anywhere else but Britan. Things like "Frog in the Hole," and "Spotted Dick," leave me a little cold. And Vindaloo is Indian, not British, as I suspect 99% of what Englishmen eat that is palatable to the rest of the world's taste buds. A good rare roast beef is hard to beat, but then it's killing us in droves over here.

This excepts beer, of course, and I guess I'd have to say Scots Whiskey - which really isn't British now is it?

And the use of the term "British Food" comes damn near being an oxymoron.

P.S. - There's no apostrophe in roast potatoes. The potato doesn't actually OWN anything, does it love?

Rissoles are basically veg or meat mixed with onion, herbs egg and breadcrumbs, rolled into a sausage shape, brushed with beaten egg, coated with breadcrumbs and the fried or grilled.

Now who likes faggots with gravy.

I would argue that curry is british by adoption.
At least the type we eat in Britian.
Did you know there are more Indian resturants in london than Dehli.

Do you have Kebab houses in the States?
