i admire him for his determination.
I too have known stutterers who insist that they do not want others to step in or finish words etc
I have no doubt the guy is acutely aware of the painfulness of doing presentations, i hope for his sake he wants to do it, not hasto do it because he will be labelled 'inactive' or 'not trusting in jehovah' among his peers.

That was a painful watch.
For all we know his speech problem was exacerbated or even caused by the Kingdom Hall. They're ALWAYS on your ass to answer at the meetings, talk in the #1 school, talk in the #2 school, talk in service, informal witness while you're standing in line at Wal-Mart for an hour, blah blah blah and NO MATTER how much you're doing you need to be doing A LOT more!!! ....that just does NOT work or jive with some people. Hell, I was one of them. I got to the point that it was better to just not talk.
Never been a Witness -- but I am guessing that he has been told that his salvation will depend upon his field service. Apparently there are very few physical limitations that will stand as an excuse for not going door to door. I imagine perhaps if you had Lou Gehrig's disease and were confined to bed with a breathing assist machine --- that maybe you would be excused from field service?

Good grief NO! Think of all the nurses and doctors that would visit you, plus the meter readers, delivery men, tradesmen, passers-by; ALL these need witnessing to.
I think probably the only ones excused from field service are the GB.
