Demons and the WTS

No offense but, you sure do seem to worship your scientists, NVL. It's a little like how someone would defend the WTS...

No offense taken. I view this as an opportunity to ask you which scientists in particular I have shown worship for and to ask you to define the worship I am showing. Of course, baseless accusations without critically examining your own position is MUCH more like the WTS, but they do it maliciously and on purpose, which leads me to think that is not what you are doing.

A valid point, on the other hand, I don't recall any scientist every saying that it is impossible for demons to exist, or have they?

Not if they are good scientists. They would be more likely to say that there is no evidence for them.

I've probably made myself sound like something I'm not. I love science. I believe in science. I disagree with parts of what mainstream science teaches (i.e evolution). But I do believe that the most rational explanation is usually the best and most correct.

But I also believe that there is something greater than us. I think it's natural for humans to think that. Total atheism is a relatively new concept. Some may say that this is because we are more enlightened now. And while I can agree with that, I think that earlier humans were far more in touch with the spiritual side of things than we are today.

Atheists BEWARE. A scripture is coming. You may want to stop reading here!

Romans 1:28-32 - And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God’s decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

If biological evolution is not responsible for the diversity of life we see today, what is?

I will respect your opinion, I'd just like to know what it is.

You know my answer, LWT. I'm a creationist.

    God.

You know evolution and abiogenesis are two different theories altogether, right? A common myth about evolution is that it's also the theory stating life sprang from nothing. It is possible to believe in god(s) and accept evolution without contradicting oneself. Beyond that, it's specific doctrines you choose to believe. Do you believe the flood was a real global event?

Genesis says that God created all things ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS. I believe this.

Was there a GLOBAL flood? I don't know. I think it is very well possible. IMO the young earth supporters have some compeling arguments. But I think the Bible could also be talking about the "inhabited" earth.

    God.

Would you say that your evidence for this position is The Bible? Or, is there additional evidence, in your opinion?

I'm still interested in BD telling me which scientists he thinks I worship and which acts or worship I perform.

Genesis says that God created all things ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS.

The bible also says that the earth does NOT move and that Joshua ordered the sun to stop moving... and it did for a whole day. If you lived in the days of Copernicus or Galileo I wonder if you'd have brushed off the theory of heliocentrism.

The bible is not a means to learn science.

The Bible is very small reason why I believe in God. LIFE is the main reason. What makes a person alive? I just can't think that life could come about with NO INTELLIGENCE. THAT to me is the irrational standpoint. To think that the big bang could produce the diversity of life seems extremely silly to me. Yes, I've read books on the big bang.

DETAILED Information systems coming about from non-information seems to me to be the IRRATIONAL standpoint.

The fact that each and every person is different, has different personalities, emotions, and that there are an infinite variety of people causes me to be sure that there must be a creator.

I know this has been argued, but I would have to have STRONGER faith to think that there was NO creator than for me to believe in a creator.
