Quite an angry response, but I suppose it had to come out.

It doesn't matter what ANYONE wants me to say. I am happy that I can come to my own conclusions. LWT is one of the best posers here in that he has a VERY strong opinion but he always leaves it to the person to ask for specific advice on a particular subject.

I, for my part, am a Christian. I love what Jesus did for me and I know that through all of my doubt, he is still there to help me get through it. But I also know that, contrary to what the WTBS says, I can read anything and still come to a knowledge of the "truth". The "TRUTH" is knowing Jesus. It is NOT knowing an organization.

If I come to THIS decision, I know that my friends ont his board (whether they agree with me or not) will respect my decision. Why? Because I respect their decision.

That is one of the most enlightening and special things that I have ever encountered. People that disagree with you 100000000%....they can STILL be you best friends.

They have come from where you are and already know what you believe.

They want you to come around to THEIR beliefs.

That is all that needs to be said.

There is a type of sleep disorder called "sleep terrors" and is characterized by the body being paralyzed and unable to move (which is normal in sleep) before the rest of the brain is in full deep sleep (which is not normal). In a small percentage of the people with this disorder they also have terrifying hallucinations like they are dreaming, but they are still awake and aware. It is sort of the opposite of sleep-walking.

This phenomenon occurs in all countries and depending on the cultural beliefs is associated with mythical demons, dragons, astral foxes, aliens etc.

It tends to occur in families. It usually occurs when the sufferer is sleeping on their back, and is under a lot of emotional stress. (like from being disfellowshipped or being told terrifying demon stories by your parents when young!)

I believe this phenomenon is responsible for a lot of so-called demon experiences. My mother has had this experience, so have I and so has my brother. At the time, I did believe it was demons attacking me as this is what I had been taught. The last time it happened is when I left the JW's for good. I had nightmares that demons were attacking me, and they seemed very real, like I was truly awake. The difference that time was that I had already stopped believing in demons. I knew this was just the brainwashing and JW conditioning playing tricks on my mind because I was leaving and it was triggering all the old instilled fears. I faced up to it and it has never happened since.

Ah, well glad to see SOMEONE still decides they know everything about everyone and decides what they want, know, and will happily tell everyone else. One hundred percent ego, ignorance and arrogance for the complete failure.

To answer your question, if BD says he uses critical thinking skills and loves science, it's strange to see those skills and love stopped short.
