Well, that goes without saying. If you can make the consumption of pork mandatory (with bacon on Sundays as a sacrament) for your followers, I'm in. Can I be, like, the High Priestess?
the word religeion means to depend on a rock jesus christ taught us to depend on gods faithfulness and to work useing what god gives us
if we relie on the hope that jesus is comeing to save us and leave the earth to burn, you will have a long sad wait, because its not going to happen! jesus wants you to take what he gave you wheather its a tea spoon to paddle with or a 220 hp motor and get busy helping one another once we show our desire to obey with more than yak yak yak at the door on saterday you will catch jesus attention then cool things start happening, but as long as me and yous onley walk with god is the loud sermon and sense of exitement while the preacher moves around the church you might just as well go play laser tag. because it will do more good! lets get real if church is listening to the preacher preach then praying at the altar evey week you have a dull spirtual walk!
but if when church is over and you helped someone know that god cares,
by proveing you care you have a good religion ..

The holy sacraments of bread and swine.....
What proves that the JW's are the WRONG religion?
Well, lack of orgies for one, LOL !
On a serious note, if there was ONE passage that proves they are not followers of Christ or part of the New Covenant, it is ACTS Chapter 1:8, where Jesus states/commands that his followers wil be witnesses of HIM.
to me:
lack of love
man made rules
disfellowshiping
1914 based on a lie
the GB thinking they are God
how they treat Women
the control they have over the people
People have always used mythos (imaginative interpretation of natural phenomena) to "explain" life and its "purpose".
But, to succeed in a survival of the fittest world a certain amount of practical knowledge was necessary as well.
Balancing out the practical from the fanciful has never been easy.
Fear drives the need for myth. Sanity drives the need for rational thought.
Just about every social group has its mythos. A certain portion of each society invests itself dangerously deep within the imaginary and defends it with every drop of blood.
Jehovah's Witnesses are no different.
When the myth threatens life rather than soothes it---it becomes dysfunctional fundamentalism and cultic.
Asking families to let their children die rather than take blood is a good example of that.
All in all, no matter what religion a person or group professes, when the compassion for others is replaced with rigid rules and cold-hearted behavior the beliefs are more mental aberration than TRUE or FALSE worship.
Religion is like strong medicine. You have to take the right dosage or you are in deep doo doo.
