This isn't surprising. Many black men are prown to what is known as "getting some on the down-low" which is code for some man-on-man action even though you may consider yourself straight or even married.

He's guilty as sin, just look at his face sometime. He's been "outed" and he knows it.

I expect him to pull a "Jimmy Swaggart" real soon and make some tear-filled confession and ask for an apology during a service soon.

"Ooohhhh please Lord, FORGIVE ME, for I have sinned again--st You!!!!"

I hope this guy is run over by a freakin' truck, because sending him to prison would only ensure that he gets to pound more brown eyes in his cell, he'd like it too much, like a kid in a candy store. No, the only justice here will be seeing him lose all of his money to the ensuing civil suits against him, and then being run over by a bus and/or truck. Sweet justice that would be.

I saw an interview with one of the young men who are making these claims. He struck me as credible. He said "I could not take enough showers to wash the stink of his cologne off of me". I think you can't rush to judgement, but the fact that there are many young men who describe the same kind of behavior make it seem that there is some truth to this. I also saw some picture of Mr. long showing off his very buff body in spandex, nothing wrong with that by itself, but seems odd for a minister. He should at least take a leave of absence until the charges are proved or not proved. It seems wrong that he is being cheered by his congregation.

I hear he says that he never claimed to be perfect, but says he is not like the man the press is portraying him to be. Time will tell.

I don't have a problem with a pastor being human, as long as he or she is with consenting adults and doesn't go overboard preaching against fornication or adultery in sermons. Pastors, clergy, they are human beings first and the last time I checked, human beings are mostly imperfect, subject to loneliness and sexual desire.

Long, and what he represents, was the subject of Christopher Hitchens acerbic intellect here:

The easiest way to gain instant acceptance as a black "leader" these days is to shove the word Reverend in front of your name.

Or, if you are really greedy and ambitious, the word Bishop. Bishop Eddie Long of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Georgia preaches that Bayard Rustin was a vile sinner who suffered from the curable "disease" of homosexuality. I have a rule of thumb for such clerics and have never known it to fail: Set your watch and sit back, and pretty soon they will be found sprawling lustily on the floor of the men's room.

I swear Christopher Hitchens is like the terminator as of late. I just might have to purchase one of his books. I've been debating it.

WingCommander, if he gets locked up, they'll put him in PC, cuz he'd get more than raped in general population. He'd be looking at a bone crusher to his jugular.

Being that this is a JW forum, when stories like this appear, at times I wonder if the WT was onto something with their Babylon the Great/Harlot teaching. I know its BS, but stories like this make me hesitant to brush off the doctrine completely.

This kind of sexual predator will choose professions that puts him/her close to prey. So you're going to find this in schools, scout troops, youth clubs, etc. It's not exclusive to churches. Most people in churches are sincere and they're law abiding. They are people though, imperfect ones.

Your right about the people in churches Flying, I'll grant you that. At the same time though, there's a heluva lotta church leaders who deserve to be placed in general population at Folsom prison. Wsup with all the perverts/predators being active church leaders? Its too common of an occurance like postal workers snapping. There's a problem within major religions and predatory depravity.

This is directed to the black church but I found some great similarities with dub-dom.
