I would honestly like a biblical response from someone that says that the devil is NOT a physical person.

Why can't the Devil be fake because the parts in the Bible that talk about him are fake?

I am still good with believing......

Though I would really like an unbias biography of Satan........ where we get more 'indept' insight as the how, why, when and for the sake of curiousity where.......

touchet about him being physical. I should've said "literal" or a "person".

I want proof from the bible that the Devil is not Mickey Mouse.

My two cents, s someone who does not take the bible to be the word of god, the Devil is an allegory to explain evil.

But you cannot show that the bible writers thought that. They always speak of him or to him as a person. According the rules of hermeneutics you cannot take something symbolic unless it fulfills certain guidlines that show it was meant to be taken symbolically. Satan is never spoken of in this context. He is always spoken of as a literal person.

Not counting Sodom and Gomorrah, the Flood and the Egyptians first borns since there is no way to number those, God killed over 2.5 million people in the Bible. We could probably safely say that the ones not counted numbered at LEAST 1 more million, so God killed at least 3.5 million people. Satan killed 10, the sons and daughters of job, but even then it was a bet that God threw out there, so he gets credit for at least half of those 10.

So...who's the bad guy? God....at least 3.5 million killed. Satan...5.

So.... is God both our father and mother? Was he the wife of Israel? He is spoken of in all of these contexts. Was the 144000 virgins? Was that number literal? Does god actually have a chariot? Did Balaams ass really speak? Was Goliath real? Did the sun really stand still? What does 666 mean? Are the seven angels literall pouring out bowls? Will the earth and heavens literally melt away?

I thought the Jews thought of Satan as 'Willy Wonka- Slugworth' sort of person......
