Coffee_black, or is it ok to lie down with the beast as long as you didn't know it? Since the WT claims they were tricked, told they had to sign up to be a NGO to the DPI (even though the guidelines clearly state you never had to do this)...but assuming the WT is telling the truth here....it would mean God let his org be tricked into lying down with the beast. Doesn't invoke much confidence in the god of the WT, does it?

Why did they need the UN's library? Could they not find what they needed in the Library of Congress?

They didn't need a card. Any journalist could get access to the contents. That didn't change until 911.

Simply to get access to the extensive Un libraries of information was a practical solution which ended when Un policy made even joining this information department more of a commitment than it should of been. So they ended it.

Prove it. Show us documented evidence that there was such a relevant rule change.

They ended it when they got busted by the Guardian. That is easy to prove. Just look at the dates of the Guardian artlicles and the date of their resignation.

We are not some gullible victims at the door Debator. Don't expect to lie and get away with it.

Black Sheep, I believe the policy had been unchanged for decades...the changes and restrictions coming for security reasons folllowing 9/11.

Isaac, To believe they didn't know is naivite at it's finest. They railed against the UN for decades...I remember article after article as I was growing up that identified the UN as the vilest of the vile... How could they not know they were joining it when signing up as an NGO? Really? They signed on the dotted line, didn't they? Do they not have a huge staff of lawyers to advise them? They don't make a move without Legal. Bottom line: they knew exactly what they were doing...and didn't think they would ever be caught. When they did get caught, they scrambled to extricate themselves.

Just more evidence that God is not directing them at all.

Coffee_Black, I agree completely. I showed all this info to my dad. He wa sin limbo and didn't know how to answer, and said he just wanted to hear the WT's answer. So he called them and they gave him their canned answer. He beleived them and any evidence to the contrary he chalked up to the UN conspiring to make the Witnesses look bad.

But, you are 100% on the money...it shows in yet another way that God has absolutely nothing to do with their operations.

It's amazing, isn't it, Isaac? I think there are jws who want to believe so badly that the wt is "God's organization", that they will swallow anything the wt spews...believe any excuse, however far fetched...believe anything that even begins to sould like a reason. The wt holds its members mentally and spiritually captive.

    debator.

For me, since the edit time for 30 minutes is too short, please forgive me to post once again.

YMCA is part of the Babylon/false religion a different kettle of fish and clearly a red herring.

    Well, I appreciate your response.
Since I was also a "defender" of Jehovah's Witnesses formerly, I understand your position well.

But, I think that such your ill-bred reply pulls "another question" near further.
In other thread, I had said like this.

Well, IMO, in early ages, the Christianity (Bible) itself is influenced by
    "Code of Hammurabi",
    "Epic of Gilgamesh",
    "Zoroastrianiam",
    "Ugaritic mythology",
    "Brahmanism",
and "Bhagavad Gita" (especially "Krishna") , etc.

And that is a mere part.
In this opportunity, I think that you should get to know that the Bible itself was influenced by other religion.

At the time I was absolutely floored he was so blind. Cultic mind control is strong.

Isaac.... it floors me too.... now. But there was a time when I was just as blind. So there is always hope.
