last donation they got from me was the $200 the meeting before my wedding.

I already had doubts, and as accounts servant I saw how they spent their money.

once I saw them ask people for a special donationm so they could fly and house a foreign bethel heavy so he could do his <1 hour talk during the memorial.

saw over $2k used to give this guy a vacation

I'm proud to admit now...that I never really gave my fair share in money contributions. If I had a few bucks in my pocket, I'd drop it in at the assemblies/conventions and I might rarely drop a few bucks in at the hall. I rarely carried cash (rarely had any to carry). At the time I felt some guilt that I wasn't doing enough but not enough to change my ways. I never wrote checks because it was too easy to keep tabs on who gave what...and how often.

I remember hearing the accounts report at the hall one time and I divided the expenses by each member of the congregation. It only came to a few bucks a head so I did wonder at times why they kept begging for more and more if we only needed to cover expenses.

What I regreat giving was my time. Not just meetings, but service. That was the biggest waste of time in my life. The years of Satuday mornings completely and utterly wasted. The times I pioneered and shared in unassigned territory witnessing. I wish I had all those hours back to do something actually worthwhile. Another waste of time was all the building projects I shared in. KH builds/remodels. Helping at the Assembly Hall construction.

Not so much when did I stop, but more when did I ever donate? I've never donated more than $100 in all of my 18 years of being a witness. They should've been paying ME to go out and sell their literature.

My husband gives a nice check every month. I never gave them a dime of my money,I had to buy food for my children. Tired of giving for CO new cars when my kids were wearing second hand clothes and we were just getting by with food and house payments. I know the CO gets a nice green handshake from my husband and yet I don't get a dime from his for food, clothes and other expenses. Just this week the CO's wife had a special list of foods she likes and he got a copy. This broad will only eat special foods like brown eggs (4.19 per dozen) special chicken not fried or BBQ, baby bottles of water, turkey, steak (must be soft) only apple juice or cranapple, frozen spinach, it goes on forever. She also put what she doesn't like on the list. Sure enough my husband purchased food for her, yet nothing for our house. THIS IS REALLY SICK. They need to give up off their rumps and get jobs. Why put this expense on other people. And get this they wanted enough food so that they would have plenty of leftovers.

Good post. Welcome to the board Tiffy. What you said is scriptural too when considering 2 Thessalonians 3. They don't care though, cuz they're getting the best of it.

I can't recall when I stopped contributing, but its one of the few anonymous ways of thumbing your nose at those vultures in Bethel.

    Revenue: $951 million
    Industry: Publishing

    President: Milton Henshel

    Employees: 3,415

It takes a lot of printing to supply more than 6 million Jehovah's Witnesses with the materials for their ministry. One publication, Watchtower, now has an average print run of 23 million copies twice per month, an increase of 7.5 percent over last year.

"Our report for the year is different from a Wall Street company," said vice president George Couch. Indeed, the company's employees are volunteers who live and work in the Brooklyn complex.

Curious to know is this revenue for one year? I was unable to locate the timeframe. That is a lot of money!

That is crazy the COs around here shop during the week, most of their expenses are picked up by the congregation.

I try not too, my husband would like "x" each month to be given. Believe me it is a good amount. Every once in a while he will inquire and I have to fork over some money. We have contributed enough and I know the WTS has a ton of money. So yes we still give but I do not do it willingly. Now it is worse since ALL charitable contributions have to be in a form of a check to write it off in our taxes. I have always expressed I do not like the brothers seeing how much we donate.
