it certainly is a never ending work in saving folks from this Satanically inspired dangerous cult, just think we are saving lives as we type.

Yes, and unlike the JW cult we are truly an ecclectic crew- different backgrounds, different views from each other now...but all valuable and helpful in this endeavor.

The amount demanded is now more than 57 million euros (more than $79,000,000 USD), which far exceeds the assets of the association.
This annoys me. This legalistic Borganization has fractioned itself into many separate groups FOR THE VERY PURPOSE OF PROTECTING ITS FINANCIAL ASSETS. The USA Branch of the Watchtower is worth around a $billion is it not? But the French Branch can't afford the back taxes.
The rank and file are required to be in lockstep in all things behavioral and doctrinal and yet they have divided their assets among many smaller corporations worldwide just to protect their money.
What, exactly, is the Borg putting faith in? Hypocrites.
My thoughts on this specific case, however, is that the French, much like the Russians, have gone about it all wrong. They have created a PR debacle for themselves when they really could have accomplished some good.
Has the ECHR ever sided with an accused oppressor in an important case? I can't see the French winning this one.

I'd like to know how the French government came up with this huge amount of tax owning.
What the hell were the French JWS doing to accumulate this.
I doubt that they were price fixing the literature such as they were doing in the States pre-1980's.

Evidently, the governmenet of France is run by apostates, and they are seeking to destroy God's organization.

Am I the only one who is never ceases to be amazed and nauseated by the hyprocrisy of the WT leaders here? On one hand, they insist on dubs dressing like 1950's dweebs at all times so they "won't stumble anyone" and so they "look spotless before the world." On the other hand, they cause huge negative worldwide press drawing attention to their own smarmy conduct by being painted as big-time tax frauds and cheats.
If they really wanted to follow the same rules they impose on their little worker bees, they would have paid disputed taxes, whether they were fair or not, just to "look" "spotless to the world." Of course, most of us know they NEVER follow the same rules they impose on those who worship them.
Slimy, cynical hypocritical bastards, all of them.

Are any of you reading this article correctly? France did what it to witnesses and this Ruling means Witnesses can contest that decision through the courts. If the witnesses are upheld through the european courts, France will have to sit up and recognise it's illegal actions.
This is not good news for France!

Reniaa/Debator, I saw that the org can file a complaint against France. However, isn't France's case against the org still going?

reniaa,
: If the witnesses are upheld through the european courts, France will have to sit up and recognise it's illegal actions.
:This is not good news for France!
You start with a conditional statement "If" and turned it into a declarative statement "This is not good news..."
I know logic is a foreign language to dubs and apostate dubs who claim to be real dubs like you, but this is ridiculous.
The matter is far from settled, dummy.
