And do you think that Satanic thinking would have any OTHER goal?

    Duh-duh-DUHHHHH!!!!! (Dramatic Music)

Welcome to the Kingdom Hall - where thinking can be a crime.

    Precisely addressed HoL.

    BroDan - your answers graded.

1] Nope. You assert that, but without any supporting evidence, other than being raised in a culture that ingrained such thinking. If you had been born in 2000 BC Greece, you might have attributed your life to Apollo, Artemis, or Hera. If you had been born in Saudi Arabia, you likely would be saying the same about Allah.

2] You assert this. You cannot prove any blessings you have received are not coincidence or random chance.

3] A man named Jesus may have well died. Your holy writ suggests to you that he died for you. But then your holy writ tells of this same Deity killing millions and holding even their offspring accountable to the 'fifth generation' for the sins of the father. Let's hope your father, or great great great grandfather has not died without getting Jesus' blessing or you are in trouble, eh?

4] Nope. Someone wrote that eternal life was possible if you follow the bible's rules. No one has ever demonstrated it to be true yet - everyone since the writing of those words has died. No one can prove they ever 'went' to heaven or to hell after. In fact, those same promises have been made by the proponents of most the deities ever invented by man. It's a real good hook isn't it?

5] Which personality trait do you admire most among the prominent ones? Murderer of innocent babies in ancient times or his allowance of millions of deaths due to aids and starvation in our modern era?

    6] See # 5

7] Billions of people ascribe the same to their 'god' of choosing. Most of the billions who have done so never heard of your 'god' - yet many of them found happiness. In fact, many millions of atheists are happy - Ironic, huh?

8] Nope. You get '70 or 80 years, if by special mightiness' to enjoy it. You only get to enjoy a very limited spectral portion of the universe - almost none of it in relative terms in those years. You will live and die without much contact at all with the universe really.

9] Nope. Your mind will last only those same few years. Then blank forever. No one has proven otherwise, except by assertions like yours.

10] Nope again. He is a fantasy, created by ancient superstitious people to explain matters outside the realm of their primitive understandings. He is not real. Many of us thought we had made friends with god. We were wrong. He ain't there, my friend.

All ten of your reasons are ludicrous assertions without scientific basis. It's a nice thought - kinda like loving Santa Claus. Eventually I hope you allow yourself the honor of thinking clearly about these matters instead of defending monsters with assertion.

I don't believe Dan said that he believed those things based on scientific basis, Jeff. That is your criteria for belief, but others include faith in their 'criteria'.

When you really think about it God killed our Father and Mother! And continues to threating us!

He talks how his son saved us........... from our Parents......

    Sound Farmilar?

Of course I am a fan Of The Dark Side so I have to take that view!

He killed Mom and Dad simple as that ..... that is every child's Nightmare!

Darth - Sure. But I think I remember God warning them what not to do to keep them from dying. They did it, and they died as a result. (But this is an entire other topic I think)

Yes but isn't every kids Nightmare having a Monster kill their parents and come after them...

It is funny how as the link mentions Monster

kills our parents and threatings us to Obey or Die like them...

    Sounds like the Nightmare!

It's because of the part of our nature that is attracted towards power and the powerful. Biblegod is thought to be all powerful, all knowing, all seeing. We like to watch the best hockey players, best football players, the best fighters. Like to listen to the smartest guys, see the most beautiful women, etc. Biblegod is superior to all that. Our attraction to it is an evolutionay element carried over from the animals. In tribalism, you see it more clearly, and the bible is a tribal book.

Science has proven and disproven many things that can be seen, touched, heard, and tasted. Science has helped and injured mankind in countless ways and continues, and will continue, to do so. Science is concrete and ephemeral all at once. Science is strong hands on bootstraps pulling mankind out of the muck of ignorance.

Only (1) thing has been proven by the existence of faith. (1) That men can indeed possess faith.

Faith is smoke through a keyhole and nothing more, so don't blow your smoke in my face and I won't piss my "science" down your back and tell you it's raining.
