For the record..... 'Anonymous Brother' who supplied the ks w/3 BOEs is totally unknown to me except that he says he is a long time lurker of JWD (he said JWD) and contacted me through FB with the link(s) I have provided others with...... (I had a friend who is more tech savvy download it and check it for 'bugs' or viruses' and it was clean)

As for myself, I am just passing the equivelent of gossip-notes (link(s)) to those in class who want in on it......

I suppose ignorance and anonymity is all of our friends at this moment...

From what I read here on JWN, the book has not been sent out yet. Also it contains a bombshell for them on their policy of hiding pedophilia and advising elders to contact the WT society on certain subjects makes them legally responsible.

They may back peddle. They may take the stragegy of not sending it out at all.

What secret book? It is just a false rumor started by the evil apostates.

I personally don't think they will move on it in the legal realm. I have a feeling that they may comment on it in the KM or maybe a letter to the elders or congregations stating that it is unfair to let others see the book...boo hoo.

isaacaustin Has a very good point and evaluation of this book. But I think if an (intelligent) questioning JW was able to read the letter about coil binding the book the impact could/should be greater. This letter should be an embarrassment to the gb. What blatant and stupid instructions sent to a large group of men who are supposed to be available to instruct in an intelligent way persons coming with an assortment of life's problems. It reads more like instructions to a group of kids who are playing a game. They have made up a little code book and must keep it secret from the other groups in their little game. The instructions that "or sisters are not permitted to do this work" should be and I am convinced must be so offensive to women. They have already said that the elder should oversee the process and still a woman is not allowed. It should spark a few brain cells simply in the fact that this letter presumes that fellow believers male or female cannot be trusted. That letter is simply infantile.

They are already moving on it. The complained to the DMCA about websites with links to the book. They contact Simon and I bet they have contacted other websites. Many of the initial links were not functionning shortly after they were put up. About the only thing that actually has the book for downloads are Torrents sites. They didn't waste any time so we know they are monitoring this site and many others

I was not aware that it has already been sent out to congregations. Many posts say that elders haven't got it yet.

In another post someone cited the subject on pedophilia and reporting it. I have just received the book, and browsed quickly about pedophilia reporting.

A couple of places it says the Elders should notify the Society immediately before taking action. If there is only one witness, they take little action.

The WT in previous pedophile cases tried to distance themselves from the actions of elders in the congregation. The Shepherd book shows how tied up the WT is tied up to the congregations.

I have to reread and scrutinize this further, and if all goes well, I will post again.

Apart from protesting about the links, and getting them removed, what can be done? I must say, I personally have enjoyed this fine new spiritual food, which I most certainly did NOT get from this site.

If the WT does move on this legally (which I'm kind of doubtful they will), it will become BIG NEWS.

Legal action by a religious group is noticed by the press.
