GrandmaJones, the two rolls in revelation, the first roll could be referring to the deeds of the first life and the second roll to those of the second life.

Whatever He does is perfect. Those who had a chance to belive in the true christian religion and rejected should die without any further chance of living again.
There is a period of 23 years coming : 2011 AD-2034 AD that will be a great time for mankind. Then a 1000-year period : 2034 AD - 3034 AD .
I hope many people will have a chance to be saved still.

Designs,
While I totally agree with what you are stating in principle, I think you miss the point that I am leaning merely on the fact that the Jewish eschatology is not dogmatic, just as you state. In Christian terms we tends to see answers from an authority as an end all, but in Jewish teaching it is part of an ongoing revelation. What one may teach today can have layers and layers of meaning as the ages pass. This is what I meant by saying that what they teach is often misunderstood.
There is a difference between a tenet of religious theology and its exegesis. I was only commenting that there are no basic tenets of this for example in Torah or the rest of Tanakh. Your last post was citing exegesis, and late as that.
However, I do agree with what the exegesis you highlight teaches in my personal convictions. I just don't let that color my thought as I thought it was more accurate to highlight outside the realm of what I personally favor or choose to believe. While I believe still does not change the fact that there are no basic tenets of Judaism that state such things regarding eschatology.

Marcus- I appreciate your point, one of the things I enjoy in Judaism is the intellectual freedom to have the continuous Question. Hillel and the other Sages began the Question with- Look within, make changes there and we will change the world around us.
