I have never seen this photo before.
Does anyone know the original source for it?

It looks as if Rutherford was doing an advertisement for a liquor company!
Not to deny the Judge's reputation, but I tend to think this pic was photoshopped.
Oh? I hate it when people do that! It muddles the information available about Judge Rutherford which is already hard to come by.
Yeah, looks bogus. For one thing all the bottles have their labels facing the camera, which strongly suggests intent to put them front and center as the picture's subject. Second, it looks like he's deliberately posing with his booze, like he's proud of it.
I don't know where that photo's from. But that is one awesome website! However, if that photo is photoshopped then it does dump the credibility of that site down the toilet.
So this is probably fake too...dammit!

Makes one wonder about other things on this site. Don Adams is saiid to be the head of governing body. can anyone verify this?
Nope. Don Adams is the president and the office of the president is an administrative role. Don Adams is not anointed, and only anointed ones may be on the Governing Body.
Nathan Knorr was the last real president that made "spiritual" decisions. In the mid-70s, a few years before Nathan Knorr's death, The Governing Body started to "govern" in terms of spiritual matters. After that Fred Franz, then Milton Henschel were the president's and on the Governing Body. However in 2000 all the Governing Body members resigned from their executive positions in order to concentrate on spiritual matters. At that time Don Adams became the Watchtower president.
Just my 2 cents worth but i have done a lot of playing with pictures and Photoshop and I would say it is not. The reproduction is very poor and to make the bottles blend in like that would be, in my humble opinion near impossible. What the actual story is I have no idea. Would be interesting to know the source of the picture.

Maybe an old airbrush job. Faking photos goes back a long way.
