I hope Varian gets the needed help as soon as possible. Its not so easy to exit the watchtower psychologically and mentally unscathed. I speak from a personal experience.

Varian please stop - I felt like giving up years ago and today I am happy I'm still here. Things can improve, please seek help. Or at least let it all out here and let us here try to help . . .

people that arereally serious about sucide don't start post about and then go off themselves,, this is just an atention getting thing. And if they never post agian just a further attention getter.

frankiespeakin, we all realize that but it is better to give them the benefit of the doubt..better to be safe than sorry.

Suicide isn't something to brush off because "they may be playing the boards"..

Better to offer encouragement and help if possible.

More harm could be done in doubting than helping..

frankiespeak...that may be the norm, but it isn't always so. Sometimes people have made up their minds and suddenly act on it. I am worried about Varian.

Not true, there was just a college student who was outed as being gay over the Internet and his last correspondence with this world was a Facebook status message:

"jumping off the GW Bridge, sorry..."

(think about that :( anyway, there's no way people are going to track this guy down via IP addresses. even if it was a static IP instead of a dynamic IP which could be used by thousands of people, it would take a lot of people working together quickly to match that to an address. I think we just have to hope that this poster comes around to his/her senses during the night)

    varian,

Let us know that you are okay, if you are. Or if you are not, it is okay. Do not be embarrassed, we all have had bad days. Most of us care, and want to help.
