If you CHANGE what you said was TRUE...How could it have been true??

  Here's a line of reasoning I will start using:

  Where does the Governing Body get their information? The answer will be Jehovah's holy spirit.

  If I told you that one thing you believed is no longer the case, wouldn't at least one of the two ideas have to be wrong? Of course, at least one would be incorrect.

  Has God ever been wrong about anything?

  Then their information couldn't possibly be coming from Jehovah. So if it's not coming from Jehovah, where is it coming from? It's coming from men. Does the Bible say we should put our trust in men? No

  If they come back with, "but the Bible writers were men." Yes, but how many times did they change what they wrote? Zero.

  In politics, persuasion is the art of defining things within the context of your own making by framing the issue.

  Propaganda is the greatest tool of ideology.

  Jehovah's Witnesses can't bring themselves to say WE PERSUADED YOU TO BELIEVE WITHOUT DOUBT but NOTHING HAPPENED; WE WERE WRONG.

  What do they do instead?

  1.Convince you the source of their emphatic teaching isn't human but Divine.

  2.Convince you the Supreme Being only deals with them.

  3.Convince you loyalty to them and obedience are THE SAME as loyalty to God.

  At this point the instruction begins. Some of what you are told to believe WITHOUT QUESTION turns out to be error.

  What is the consequence?

  The artful propaganda commences and the issue is NOT FRAMED in a True vs False conditional examination of facts.

  Astonishingly, a CHANGE in belief is given to replace the previously "True" one--but it is presented as AN IMPROVEMENT rather than a refutation!

  Imagine your auto mechanic telling you: "The tune-up we gave you may have included spark plugs wrong for your type of car which caused your performance to be sluggish and your mileage to drop--HOWEVER, it proved to be an essential indicator to you of the need for BETTER plugs. We are happy to install them for you for only 79.95 plus labor!"

  In essence, the Watchtower Society and its Governing Body keep replacing parts in the bus to paradise while assuring the passengers every pitstop is an IMPROVEMENT---but, the damn thing keeps breaking down without ever arriving at its destination.

  Will there ever come a time when this worthless lemon is abandoned? All the assurances and reassurances in the world can't refute the facts.

  If Jehovah's Witnesses have the TRUTH, then that's it! It is TRUE!

  But, since Jehovah's Witnesses keep changing and changing and changing that "Truth" it CAN'T HAVE BEEN TRUE BEFORE if it is TRUE NOW!
