Once again, I managed to blow it off. The whole holiday was stolen from Astaroth--it is her holiday, and the jokehovian witlesses dishonor Astaroth anyways. As for me, I will worship things that go hop-hop instead of joke-hova. And no plate of crackers and spoiled grape juice, either--just decorations where those hopping things are honored along with the eggs and other things that pertain to spring (and Astaroth).
I also will not be attending the special waste of time talk, either--here at home or in Jerusalem. It is not worth going to those things to waste my time being programmed for damnation.

It was awful. He said nothing of Jesus until the passing of the bread. It was all about who partake.
The only reason I went was because I have a job interview in another city. I went to that city to check things out. I went to the memorial to see if people knew of others who worked at that company, but no one did.

I know it was the same outline, but the fat sweaty elder didn't even bother to change his notes from last year - he just pulled out the same folder and gave his version almost word for word the same.
It was also pretty much the same people as last year too, and even cheaper wine (the sister who bought it was concerned that it didn't have a screw cap!)
I noticed this year that they don't go near any verses in Revelation to talk about the great crowd, only to John 10 to talk about the "other sheep" which is blatantly just referring to non-Isrealites.

The speaker I heard talked about the 144,000 and used Revelation 14 I think. He talked about great crowd but not sure he used rev ch 10.
Of course they had the contribution box out next to the table filled w literature . For the Worldwide Work AKA Child abuse lawsuits

THANK YOU. First time going with awareness and saw and heard them say Judas NOT there ....only 11. I knew he was for bread and meal and confirmed tonight that he was ALSO there for wine. Made huge impact on hubby too. He finally started COC this week.
It's amazing, isn't it? The speaker (and thus, I'm assuming the outline) makes a big point this year about how Judas was dismissed BEFORE Jesus established the New Covenant, and this proves that it only applied to select people, not everyone. He has everyone turn to and read Matthew and John to "prove" it. Except Matthew doesn't have Jesus dismissing Judas at all, just goes from saying that one of 12 at the table would betray him straight to the bread and wine. John has Jesus dismissing Judas, but he doesn't include the New Covenant at all. And they conveniently don't read Luke, where Judas is explicitly shown as still being present after the wine and bread are passed. Mark just copies Matthew, for the most part.
I look around, and everyone just sits there and nods. The Society blatantly misrepresents the scriptures right in front of everyone, and all you have to do is read the surrounding verses in the very passages the speaker is reading to prove it. And still no one sees it.
It's so ballsy, and yet so effective, that it's a wonder to behold.

Just a few thoughts from the memorial I went to last night...the speaker never really explained what exactly the purpose of the memorial was, he kinda gave a 30 explanation but that was it. Most of the talk was about an earthly paradise, what kind of animals we would be playing with and how many houses we would have. Mention was made that we're going to have over 20 million in attendance! That was news to me. If you haven't partaken of the bread and the wine before you're not of the anointed. also news to me. My congregation is 101 publishers, we had 198 in attendance. Zero people came because of the invite work, which I think makes 4or 5 years since a single random person showed up because they got an invitation at their door. -

That is right!!!!! No ONE of the 12 were anointed when they partook of the emblems. Jesus was the only one anointed and he didn't partake. The 12 were from the great crowd with earthly hopes. That is what the book of Acts says. They asked Jesus if he was establishing the Kingdom on earth. They didn't have a yearning to go to heaven. Listen, Obey and be Blessed... ;)
