IF by some chance you do find that it is something "paranormal" I have one suggestion for you:

    See a psychiatrist.

I have not read all five pages.

However, based upon the original post, I see no reason to assume that anything malevolent is going on.

Even if one believes in invisible spirits, there is the possibility that it's a FRIENDLY ghost, is there not? If so, why should we conclude that it's a malevolent spirit, if nothing bad has happened? Perhaps Casper the friendly ghost moved the dress to prevent moths from eating it.

What is it with the Dawkinites always have to be such sarcastic dinkers? Are y'all really arrogant enough to believe that the only reason someone could possibly disagree with you is because that person is stupid and/or nuts?

Liberty93 - Its not about arrogance, its about a way of understanding the world that works. If this puzzle is solved the solution will be natural. Occam's Razor is never wrong.

    Occam's Razor is never wrong.

Occam's razor is a guide, not an iron bound law. Even in hard physical sciences, this is the case, and specific applications of the principle have not withstood scrutiny.

OK but its a very reliable guide and invoking supernatural causes has never proven to be useful other than as a temporary placeholder.

Define temporary. Implicit in your view is a firmly believed hypothesization of an ultimate scientific/naturalistic explanation for all things, and that it is accessible to human cognition. This you cannot prove, and so you are going on based on something akin to religious faith. This is not science, this is scientism.

Who knows maybe there are things that will forever be beyond science's grasp. There are things for which science is not the best tool but what caused the events that are the subject of this thread is not one of them.
