    This was my reply:

"Without the " bitter" ppl the kids would still be getting molested!
Sometimes you have to speak up to get anything done.
Look what the Catholics and boy scout leaders and others in the position of authority/religion got away with before the rules were changed. It attracts this kind of people because it gave them a cover while they commit their crimes against children.
From what I heard the JW's and many other religions still don't have a concrete policy of reporting as do many other religions..it's on a each congregation/church makes the decision basis. They say it is up to the laws of the state they live in. If it isn't the law in their state they don't have to report it ...and many don't.
Many pedophiles walk among them and go unreported... Many members are not even told they exist in their congregation/workplace. A school I looked up had a circle of pedophiles living around it. And yet the law said they are not supposed to live within a certain area around schools/daycare etc. Rules are still being broken..it isn't the time to "go silent " and look on the "good side". That's what predators want you to do..."

My daughter de-friended (Shunned) her after she defended the JW's..

    My daughter's comment:

"Many, many other reasons to "RUN" don't walk from this so called religion".

    I love my daughter...

    Argh! That is frustrating, snoozy!

A couple things come to mind: the one "true" religion with shepherds appointed by holy spirit? Why doesn't holy spirit guide them in outing these lying molesters? Yes, his organization did do it! Through their policies and turning a blind eye. The hypocrisy in that last paragraph is... Anyway, maybe remind her of the articles about the Catholic church's scandals. Who's pointing fingers and not looking for the positive? Everything the Catholic church is guilty of so are the JW's. Who makes a career of tearing other Christians and their beliefs down? If she wants something better, who is the way and the truth and the life? Sounds like it might be better to show her that there is no requirement to be part of an organization.

You already know all this, I just had to rant a little. Anyway... rant over.

I hope you can reach her. She sounds like a very nice person that's struggling with guilt and fear right now.

Good point Dada..and we still need reminders, sometimes we forget!

They pointed fingers so gingerly at the Catholic Church when the other four (as she puts it) were pointing back at them.

    Good point!

Her last response before I de-friended her:

    She said:

"Yes I know . Totally agree. But I know one of the men if not more on that program. Ed's ex brother in law and is apostate/bitter stirring up hate for JWs more than pedophiles and is himself a foul character. I don't think anyone should get away with ANYTHING. and it should be exposed but these guys twist things themselves. One guy tried it in one fathers house while he was there! Then he WIFE hissed thanks for ruining my life when he reported it all. These guys are all disgusting. speak out against decievers not organization. It is not policy to hide sin. The stupidity of some besmirches Jehovahs name. Ppl don't look at big picture. Everyone likes adultery and fornication and when JWs speak out against that we are backwards. Yet the bible condemns it equally with murder."

Who had enough and responded in kind...

    (two more witnesses to go..lol)

What really pissed me off was her hate for the one stirring things up(apostate) more than the molestors themselves!

When she told me it was "not policy to hide sin" I let her have it..

    I feel good!

ps.. Should I turn in my time?..lol

Perhaps you should next post this....

Get off the Watchtower, and pick on Scientology. She'll read it and she may figure out that the WTS uses the same tactics.

Then, later on, become friends of Silent Lambs on Facebok. That should piss her totally off. LOL.

Unfortunately JWS think pedophilia is in the same sin stature as fornication or adultery and therefore should be treated likewise.

The fact is there have been many JWs elders not taken any civic responsibility to report these occurrences of pedophilia or instances

of incest to governmental authorities so that these individuals can be processed through the laws of the land.

In most countries there are no authoritative laws on fornication or adultery but usually there are laws on pedophilia and incest.

The WT's. recent mandate to only report situations of pedophilia if only required to by the laws of the land confirms this apathetic act

of irresponsibility, only to be pushed aside for the sake of the organization's own public image.

So who's more corrupt the Catholics or the JWS ?

thetruone: That's what I was trying to tell her but she insists that since her congregation read that they should obey the laws of the land and turn them, she thinks that all the congregations are doing that..I opened her eyes about that right before I defriended her. She has a lowly opinion of "apostates" and I knew I would get nowhere with her. I planted the seeds (as they would say) now it's up to her if they grow or not.

I ended by encouraging her to research her religion in a way outside their own literature.

sketter: Funny you should mention Sciencetology.
I have respect for her parents, they are both very bright. When the Mom met someone out in service that believed in that religion both her and her husband delved into the study of sciencetology wholeheartedly. They had a hard time disproving it..They just felt it was wrong but still couldn't come up with why..

That was the only time I saw her stumped over something.

There must be a strong pull from that religion in one way or another that attracts people.
