I pull books off the New York Times Best-Seller List and read the review. It can be accessed at nytimes.com. Currently, I'm reading Man Booker prize winners. They are English fiction books. Wonderful. Wolf Hall and the Finler Question were awesome. Goodreads.com is another great side. Amazon is all right. It is hard to recommend without narrowing your interests.
An Episcopal nun once told me that the mother superior insisted that they have a novel going at all times, even when they were doing postgrad work. It is good advice. It transports me. Of course, I have trouble putting books down and going to sleep when I should.
