I was wondering how you were going Brin. Were you affected by the cyclone? You're in Darwin so I guess that's a silly question, but hope you're OK.
(sorry to be off topic, this is just the 'night shift'.....whispering)

Hey Penny! Cyclone itself wasn't too bad but the rain got a bit trying (to put it in perspective we got Melbourne's entire annual rainfall in the space of 3 days). It's over in Western Australia now... starting to dry up here. How have you been?

**grabs a stick and pokes at the campfire... throws a bit of kindling on to re-vamp it... picks up a gum leaf and begins fidgeting with it while she contemplates getting more ice for the esky**

But if one wanted to establish the terms "day crew" and "night crew" for the sake of a silly discussion, would it not be reasonable to view time from the perspective of the server's time zone?
OK . . . so help me out here . . . I live on a South Pacific Island . . . it's 20 past midnight . . . am I day shift or night shift?

You're technically the night shift as far as the Americans are concerned.
