Let's be clear . . . I'm not Australian . . . I call XXXX "beer" cos I know how to spell . . . I'm a South Pacific Islander . . . Night shift you say Broken Promises? . . . brilliant! . . . fits nicely with it being dark and all.

Mmmm Pavlova. Used to make a lot of them in my JW days - cong bbq's, supper nights, family get togethers etc. Topped with lashings of cream, strawberries, kiwi fruit and passionfruit. Dessert heaven.

Haven't made one in a while. Our social life went to almost zero after we faded and are now being shunned by family as well. Have to come up with an excuse to make one I think.

Can you sing? SP'ers have beautiful singing voices. Many years ago I had some SP'ers living near me and they used to sit outside on summer evenings and sing and play the guitar.

I think they might have either been Samoan or Tongan.

Agree with all of that Broken Promises . . . but I'm afraid I don't fit the stereotype . . . I can't play or sing a note! I have three sons who can . . . though you wouldn't want them on your porch . . . Heavy rock is what they punch out . . . they practice in a sound proof room . . . sounds great!

And since this thread has completely lost it's way . . . there's one more thing I should make clear . . . Pavlova (like kiwifruit, Phar Lap, Russell Crowe, Crowded House, etc) is of New Zealand origin . . . that's me out . . . I'm movin over for the day shift.
