That must mean the thousand year reign started in 1914 right!?

And what exactly has Jesus been ruling over since 1914? I know he ousted Satan and his demons around 1918/19 but who is he ruling over? The angels? The 144,000? The organisation? Can't be the world cuz Satan is the ruler of this world, Jesus said. Maybe Jesus has been sharing rulership with Satan since 1914?

That to me is one of the funniest damn things in all of JW theology. They've created a situation where everybody in the universe supposedly knew about Christ's enthronment in 1914 but them. It's not stated as openly now as it was in the 1950's but the teaching is apparently still alive and well

According to The Watchtower:

"The angels in heaven were perfectly aware of those events in 1914: "And loud voices occurred in heaven saying: 'The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will rule as king for ever and ever." (The Watchtower December 15, 1950 p. 513)

The angels in heaven knew

"By his acts since A.D. 1914 Jesus Christ could never be accused of being a pacifist. Why not? Because since that date Satan the Devil and his demons have been cast out of heaven and he has come down to our earth with great wrath, knowing that now he has a short time." (The Watchtower February 1 1951 p. 72)

Satan and the demons knew

"So 1914 was not a time for the Gentile nations to rejoice at Jehovah's assuming of his ruling power over the earth and the birth of the kingdom of his Christ. They became wrathful. The events of history show they became so right at the crucial date of 1914. They engaged in world war between themselves for world domination instead of acting like Christians and yielding over their earthly power to Jehovah's enthroned King." (The Watchtower December 15, 1950 p. 514)

The nations knew -- It made them real mad

"The chasm pictures God's judgment, which cannot be reversed and which divides the two classes. It forbids any mercy or relief to Christendom. She is abandoned since making her decision following World War I. She then decided against God's established kingdom and favored the international conspiracy for ruling the earth by human agents in defiance of His rightful sovereignty and in opposition to his King Jesus Christ, whom he put on the throne in 1914 to rule amidst his enemies." "Christendom" was little slower than the others, but "she" found out right after World War I

At the time, the Bible Students were the only ones who didn't know. They didn't even begin to teach this until 1920 and the teaching did not reach anything resembling it's present form until 1925.

If the nations were wrathful at Jesus, I wonder why they took it out on each other? Now that I really think about it, it makes no sense at all. Just another layer peeled away.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that in the year 1919 Jesus Christ chose a printing company in Brooklyn run by an alcoholic Missouri lawyer as his sole representation here on earth. I just can't understand why everyone in the world does not recognize this simple fact.
