NOLONGERWAITING & WIFE- Unfortunately time takes time. I know it's not too deep or profound a thought- but very true ! Look forward to meeting you folks as well
Hey,
I'm going to do a hike/trail run while I'm there at Tahoe- any takers??
There is the "new" Tahoe Rim Trail that I have heard a lot of good stuff about. Maybe a section of that- up to a lake and back?? I just ordered one of the Tom Harrison maps for the Tahoe area. I'm going to "scout out" some routes and then I'll post them here.

Flipper, JRK, and I need to play a few hours of tennis on Saturday late morning most likely. (It's something we do.) If you can schedule the hike for anytime on Sunday, or even later Saturday, then I would love to come and so will many others, I am sure.
OK- I have a few hikes in mind...
So- if there are any interested:
Which day would be better?
and
How many miles would you be willing to hike?
I am all in for any hikes. If we need to, we might even try to move tennis up to pre-sundown on Friday (but I doubt it). If you want to plan a personal hike everyday, I am sure many someones will join you. But keep us in mind for Sunday and later on Saturday.
Oh, and JRK and I skedaddle back to the airport on Monday and won't have time to hike. But that shouldn't stop others.
Ok- it would be cool if everyone could do a hike together- there is a one-mile hike up to these pretty lakes- Angora Lakes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angora_Lakes
We could all do that and still carry stuff for a picnic!
Mrs Jones- what would the fam be up for? At the trailhead for this area there is (I think) a good spot for picnicking too. We could all have a picnic there and then people who want to could go on up to the lake. OR, we could split into two groups- a trailhead picnic group (I hear the views there are awesome as well) and a lakes picnic group?
This is just one idea- anyone else chime in too.
It seems like the Angora Lakes hike would be the most do-able for everyone and it looks gorgeous!
I am still planning a longer hike/run for whatever day our main together hike is not on. And whoever is welcome to do that with me.
Mrs Jones- it looks like there is a lake on the way that you can get to -it is ~1200 feet from the parking lot. We can call and inquire about the condition of the trail- but on Google satellite it looks to be a really wide trail.
Hikes sound cool. I think my kids would be up for it. I'm gonna start walking to get my stamina up. Hubby won't be able to do a hike though.
I'm driving down by myself from the Seattle area. So if anyone needs a ride PM me. Also will there be any room in someones tent for me to crash. I promise I won't snore.
