LAMALLCOOL- I think the snow will be melted at 6,200 ft. elevation by July 4th weekend at Lake Tahoe. I'm sure of that. It won't be melted at 9,000 ft yet, but it will at lower elevations. I've hiked enough in the Sierra mountains to know that - believe me.
EXWHYZEE- We'd love to have you and your wife come to see everybody at Tahoe ! The Richardsons Campground is about 4 miles west or so of the California/Nevada border on Hwy. 89. Check the links out on the first page of the thread for directions to the campground. There are lots of fun activities to do while there in Tahoe. There is a beach within walking distance , bike rentals to ride, an outdoor restaurant within walking distance with live music, nice trails to hike within minutes of the campground area, swimming, suntanning, good food & drink . We are expecting about 25-28 for sure so far that are coming. About 18 or so are staying at the campground- the rest are getting a motel or hotel room. So hope that clears things up ! Hope to see you there !
MRS. JONES- Yeah, I saw the typo too, I just didn't address it. Kinda funny. I agree with you- with the hot Sacrameto summers climbing into the 100's - all that snow at 6'200 ft. elevation WILL be melted by the time we go up to Tahoe. Lookin forward to it ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
