Mrs. Flipper & I have been cut off from the outside world for 4 days with no electricity as the mother of all snow storms dumped 3 ft. on us at 3,200 ft. elevation.
Ya, I kinda figured you all got snowed in again. What a wild winter, huh? Glad you guys are OK and hoped you warmed up.

Flip,
I feel your pain! We went a week without power 3 years ago in an icestorm. Are you guys starting to smell gamey?

Maybe we will get lucky and get bumped to a convertible. It has happened before, hasn't it Dagney? Fun times in SoCal!

MRS. JONES- Thanks sis. Yeah, it's been REALLY wild up here. We had an oak tree ( small ) crash down next to our storage shed from the high winds. One neighbor had an oak tree come crashing through his bathroom window- fortunately he wasn't at home or on the can at the time ! Another neighbor had her outside deck smashed with a big hole in it with another oak tree snapping off. It's been a thrill a minute up here. Thursday night ( early Friday morning A.M. ) I tried driving to my jobs and I could get no further than 20 ft. out of y driveway- in 4 Wheel low as I was bottoming out there was so much snow. Snowplow guy hadn't come yet. It took me 45 minutes to dig ENOUGH snow off the road just to back back into my driveway ! I was amped up for 2 hours unable to sleep or get to my jobs. Fortunately my customers ndrestood and I re-scheduled them. First time that's happened to me like EVER. Nice to have the sun shining again today !
JRK- I almost got into it with a P. G. & E. dimwit repairing lines Sunday morning. I had to do my jobs and left at 11:00 A.M. as I had MORE to do because of not doing it Thursday night. So some 20 something year old P.G. & E. guy stops me on the ONLY route available into town and says " you can't go through, we are repairing lines. " I said, " Look buddy, I have 9 contracts I HAVE to do tonight as I was unable to get out Thursday. " He said, " Do you want your electricity back on ? " I said, " Sure, of course. But I WANT to do my jobs also. My jobs are as important to me as yours is to you ! " Finally I told him to get his foreman. And he was nicer and understood my dillemma and let me through . Jesus. What we have to do just to get our damned jobs done. Like Bugs Bunny used to say, " Some days I shoulda stood in bed. " Christ.
DAGNEY- Thanks, it's been pretty crazy up here ! How did you folks fair the storm in the South state area ?
FOLLOWED MY HEART- Sorry you folks can't come this year. Hope to see you next year ! Take care

Well, I am glad you are alive and able to go to work. It's good to be put in our places when we think we have it bad. I have been kind of upset at the lack of Spring-type weather here, but no snowstorms have taken place. If I look in the fridge and say "there's nothing to eat" at least I have a working fridge.
Camping in Tahoe in July should be easier than being home in the hills in the winter without power.
