Heart desease is the leading cause of deaths in this country. Bad diets are leading to an ever increasing population of Diabetic and FAT children and adults. If we keep this up, more and more people will be too sick to work or live a normal life. So ELDERS, why not DF for these obvious disrepects for the life JEHOVAH supposedly gave you and not just single out smoking! Which, I might add, is still unhealthy. But if your going to draw the line on bad health choices, I think 450 pound sister Jones who has to listen to the meetings through her phone while she eats a three chicken meal, and noodles, bread and deep fried mushrooms. Should be DF'ed!!!!

Because we here in America are not fat due to overeating and no exercise, we have thyroid issues therefore we cannot be DF'ed for gluttony it's not our fault. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to McDonalds.

Lord a-mighty, if "poor diet" and/or "obesity" were reasons for DF-ing, the WT numbers would decline by 60% overnight! At least in the US anyway.

Also - in the new Elders book - if persons are not cleaning their houses, messy, etc. they too can be brought up to a JC..

I guess the hoarding issues are starting to indicate some type of emotional illnesses that have to be addressed.. Chapter 5 Elders Book - Pg 65

That was one of the issues that really started me thinking about if the Watchtower was really God's organization. They would kick someone out for smoking because it wasn't healthy and yet put up with people that were eating their way to a coronary attack.

I think they might get their DF reasons from FDA requirements and the medical field. I can have you talk to tons of doctors who will tell you that there are much worse habits out there, for you health, that compare to or pale in comparison to smoking. I can not even tell you how many fat ass woman I knew as a Witness, who could not even leave their house anymore. Yet, again, that is okay!
