FF, you are thinking of the dinner after the "celebration".

    O Kellogg's, our breakfast provider,

O this is a most sacred night!

    'Twas last year, March 10th,

    I was disfellowshipped

For rejecting the faithful slave's light!

Before us is set a fine table

Of milk and of Pop Tart-ed bread

    They are symbols, we know

That I left a bad cult

Because they really did mess with my head!

`SD7we will raise a glass of milk in you honour. Do cookies substitute for pop tarts? If so we'll pass and eat. Well done for making it through a difficult year. So much has happened for us all, making the grown up decisions isn't easy that is why the adults get to make them.

    The Pop Tart, sd-7's body,

Which no longer goes to the Hall,

    And chocolately milk

To free me of cult guilt--

I'm at last not ashamed of it all!

I welcome all to my new cov'nant

To partake as much as you will

    It means freedom for all

    And the Watchtower's fall

So make sure that your milk is well-chilled.

Yeah, I'm hungry right now and got carried away, but with enough wine the 'celebration' should be able to blur into the dinner seamlessly.

After dinner it's appropriate to engage in all sorts of debauchery. Sinning freely demonstrates our faith in Jesus' sin atoning sacrifice, and shows our appreciation for it. We must use it to the full!

7 - You are one clever guy!~ Brilliant satire, nicely written. Your Memorial announcement makes as much, no, more sense than the way the WTS wrote it in the first place.

I'm sorry your exit has been so painful. I was lucky that when I took a deep breath and told my wife that I was ready to drop-kick this whole JW thing and start living a more authentic life, she was intrigued and admitted she'd been thinking the same thing but was reluctant to bring it up. It was a little more complicated than that but within weeks we were planning our exit strategy and we made our way out with minimal collateral damage to the few family members we had who were "in the Truth." They're all happily out now and we are enjoying our seventh year of freedom and wildly content with life.

That's my wish for you, however it works itself out. And it will work out. Just keep learning.

Hey Finally Free - can I come celebrate with you this year? I'll bring some of my homemade fermented horseradish - it's the best!
