Back in the day, I just assumed they wouldn't get a resurrection because everyone who experienced life as imperfect humans would simply kill them again for causing all this crap.
It didn't occur to me that they were basically grown kids. How would they have known anyone was going to try and trick them into eating the fruit? Their only relationship was with a breeze that came by and spoke to them every day--a talking snake by comparison would be logical. Also, perfectly hot naked woman, offering me fruit. Only perfectly hot naked woman on earth. Come on. It was over before it started.
Besides, anybody who has kids knows that the second you tell them specifically, "don't mess with X thing, if you do, X will happen," and then leaves, the kid is now MORE curious about X thing than they ever were before. And being new to life, they're naturally curious anyway. So I agree, SweetBabyCheezits--Admiral Ackbar could have warned them. Best Star Wars reference of day. Thank you.

LOL at Jezebel picture! It's more hilarious than I remember! Maybe in her later years she might've looked like that. The audio drama is funnier, though. "Did it go all right with Zimri the killer of his lord?" "Let her drop!"

Unshackled: Yeah yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Jezz was truckstop hot. You know, smells like whisky, tastes like an ashtray. And check out that rack. LOL...
I just clucked out loud like a chicken. Er, rooster.
Okayyyy, if we're being honest, only the GB would toss out hotness of that magnitude.

If by Lucille Ball you mean "drag queen hooker", then yes.
SD-7: Admiral Ackbar could have warned them. Best Star Wars reference of day. Thank you.
No... Thank you, sir. I thought I was just isolating myself with the Ackbar postings. You've saved me a little dignity....which.. is... lost again in this very sentence.

Nah, this should be a forum rule: all Star Wars references are welcome, at any time, on any thread. Excluding Jar Jar Binks.
@sd-7- thanks for reminding me of the audio drama- "LET HER DROP"! LOL!
On the Jehovah's Witness organization video you get to meet the woman who did the voice to Jezebel! She looks just like her!
adam was supposed choose his love for god over his love for the woman. he failed. he cared so much for his companion that he took the fall so she wouldn't be punished alone. he was emotional, not logical.
however, if we remember the abraham/issac sacrifice story, god will test you right up to the limit, and he will reward the faithful.
abraham could have pulled an adam and disobeyed the command given to sacrifice issac. he loved his son, but he loved his god more. he was logical, not emotional.
potentially, if adam would have ratted out eve immediatly when she came up to him in fallen form, he might have been blessed big time. and that would have been an inheritance to us. instead of this world....
so because the first prototype didn't pass the test, we all get to see what happens when we don't listen to god's orders. adam listened to eve who listened to satan. adam didn't listen to god.
so personally i am disappointed that adam failed, but honestly I have listened to a womans voice i loved and disobeyed god, so i am no better.
that's the problem with emotion. you don't do what you should. and it usually bites you in the ass.
"The First Gospel of Adam and Eve" and "The Second Gospel of Adam and Eve" are a must read if you wish to contemplate this issue fully.
as well as "The Book of Jasher". and the Quran. and Enochs books. and Noah's writings.
don't just go by genesis. you'll fail the test if you don't study all the information available. so many people get stumped by their own personal bible. they should take other translations into account to help clear things up. and other bibles have other books in them, so that means you should read all the books to gain perspective.
all are available on the internet. www.sacred-texts.com is a great site.
Thanks for the heads-up, strymeckirules.

He might have been emotional, but it was to save himself, not Eve. When God asked him what he did, he said 'the woman you put here with me, she gave me fruit and I ate it.'
Sounds as if he blamed both Eve and God both for leading him into what he did, instead of apologizing, or taking responsibility and asking that Eve be spared. I think he showed a lack of love, rather than too much of it, Strymechirules.
