Do you get hassled for posting here frequently?

I used to get hassled here but not so much anymore, I'm passed caring anyway. Hubby doesn't mind my being here. Sometimes I think he's an unofficial lurker here.

Tec; don,t stop, you help me with my critical thinking.

I am A agnostic at this point of my life. Keep defending

your faith. If all were agnostic and atheists on this site

what would we discuss. The good the bad and the ugly.

    SABASTIOUS:

I know it is hard to let go and I feel that way myself sometimes, even after 'fading' for ten years. But, when I read some of the stories on this forum of how others (especially born-ins) have been so hurt by the religion, I am thankful because it could have been worse. I suppose I want to see the religion exposed and punished for all the suffering it has caused.

I suppose we are looking for 'justice' (what a joke) and I despair of it ever being found either in the religion or in the world in general. The problem is that many of those in the organization at various levels who have hurt people (either through word or deed, intentionally or unintentionally) are now dead. Unfortunately, they cannot be punished - not by us anyway.

There is an old expression: "The evil men do lives on, but the good is oft' interred with their bones".

So, we just have to get on with life the best we can.

But I'm a big girl. And sometimes a big girl knows when she's had enough of people trying to tell her what she should or should not do with her own time ;)

I'm about to speak up to these people too.

I've simply told people, who obviously do not understand what I have been through, that they simply do not understand what I have been through, and I do not expect them to understand, and as much as I love them and care about them, and as much as I value their friendship, until they can empathize and be the kind of support system I need there is an extent to which they are going to have to screw themselves and let me do what I need to do in order to deal with what I have been through.

    Thank you, Jam!

I have no plans on going anywhere. One thing I love about this board is that everyone is here. (okay, no hindus as far as I know, but a good assortment of culture and belief) I've grown a lot being here, in my faith and in my outlook on the world.

Well said! I love the run on sentence.

    Not "hasseled", but "persecuted".

Yes ... A gf I had used to ask "are you on the forum again?"... eventhough she is no JW

We need people who understand us. This is the only place where we can find those people. No therapist, no psychologist, no group theraphy will have people who can relate to us unless they were in a cult like us.

If we were born in will always carry the real mark of the beast, "A watchtower" in our foreheads.
