They require a 'real' first and last name to join an (not wt approved) internet forum but get their undies in a bunch when you bring up the fact that they won't reveal who their "translators" of the NWT were?!
looky looky - A 'real' J-dub forum! (are they becoming normal???)

Ray Publisher, would you be willing to cut and paste one of the more interesting "discussions" on that site? I was thinking
of the one one "Where do you suppose Apostates got this idea..." one....
Thanks.

Like many of the thousands on this forum, I am still inside the org, but am looking to make an exit. It is very complicated for some of us to leave, as you may well know due to family, work, and other ties.
Thank you for your understanding. My posts here are meant to benefit this community and add to the knowledge pool
Realize of course that many ex-JW online have formed thier own cult and have created thier own set of conditions that you must meet in order to be a part of thier "club"..
You just got lesson 1...Never use common sense and deny them the pleasure of ranting on about the WTS being the source of all wrongs in thier life. If you do, be prepared for the consequences.... (Mine will be coming shortly).

Really?? Because I've been on exJW boards for 10 years and I don't know what the hell you are talking about. Care to elaborate?

How typically JW! The hypocrisy is palpable. "We're going to disregard the 'counsel' of the Society by running this site, but woe unto you if you don't constantly toe the WT line. Don't you dare say anything controversial, while we call all the shots and do whatever we want.
This site is probably run by someone who wants so badly to be an elder he/she can taste it, but isn't qualified or desirable for the position. The holding of others to man-made rules is so indicative of JW mentality and the scrutiny, policing, and finger-pointing are just like being at the Hall.
Anyone craving the kind of human interaction available at the KH is probably not going to exactly be a barrel of laughs. It's going to be a nasty, backstabbing group of shut-ins and sycophants. Half the people there will be weighing every word so as not to offend and the other half will be scrutinizing ever word, trying to be offended. Who needs the drama?

All right, I understand that, RayPublisher...
But I've found that people - well, some people - exiting the Jehovah's Witnesses, sometimes tend to slip into "apologist" mode without realizing it...
Also, since I figured out that the god of the bible cannot be real since he wasn't the first deity worshipped - by a looooong country mile, by the way - it is somewhat dismaying for me to observe the behaviors of people who haven't yet come to that realization...
Let me ask you this - would you feel comfortable worshipping a 'god' that was discovered - or generated - by the Al Quaida? The Ayatollah? Osama bin Laden??
These Middle Eastern men and their attitudes are VERY TYPICAL of the mentality of the Bronze-Age Middle-Eastern nomadic herdsmen who came up with the bible...
But enuf of that...I have a mischevious idea regarding the subject of this thread, which I will post separately....

What consequences? An apologist rant for the WTBS? For God? Puhleeeease.
One of the more amusing discussions over there now is a circle jerk session about how no one knows what gravity is or how it works and thank YHWH for making it perfect just the way it was and Isaac Newton, who, according to them, is well known to be close to the "Truth" came the closest to figuring it out.
Guess they never looked at a high school physics book written in, oh, the last hundred years or so or never heard of Einstein.

I have a bratty idea...
And if I were currently attending a Kingdom Hall - and were fading - I would SO put this idea into action!!!
I'd pick out the worst, most sanctimonious elder - or elder's wife - or pioneer - in the congregation. Especially one who denigrates the internet, decries Facebook, and so on...
Then I'd use that person's name to get onto that website...
If I were attending a Kingdom Hall, I suspect that the rest would be fairly easy...
Of course, one would have to create a new email account to do so - and I would be careful to make up something that is neutral, not incorporate the person's name into the email, just to be safe...
