I'm more respected than liked in real life, I'm afraid. I'm good at what I do and I don't blow smoke up people's orifices. If I don't know about something I admit it, ask questions, and try to learn about it. I'm not much of a small talker, though, and am fairly introverted, so socially I don't have a ton of solid friends.
Online though, I kick ass. I mean seriously, who doesn't love Mad Sweeney?

People like me for some reason. I'd be hard pressed to name anybody who didn't like me. Even through all my years at school, I never had an enemy. Its hard to explain.
So people like to hate me. On the other hand some people hate to like me....

I can easily see that you're a likable person, Terry. I have never once see you lodge a personal attack or insult against anyone, for any reason. You're very outspoken about what you believe, but that is not a reason to dislike someone. Not at all.
Terry, Over many years on the board you have made a huge and valuable contribution. I like your straight forward no nonsense approach to topics. I get the impression you are much the same in real life.
You are an outstanding example of how a board like this can be used to educate and benefit. I hope you never change.
Terry, if people you know personally tend to like you, you're doing well! I think how you're perceived online doesn't much matter in comparison.

There has only really been one person I just DIDN'T LIKE AT ALL on JW-d and everybody really liked him alot. I finally met him at an Apostafest. I still didn't like him!

I have one quirk that helps me with contentious others. They amuse me. I find it entertaining. I like it when bullies lose control and all the nasty comes out of them. I don't mind it, for some reason because I think it reveals so much of them.
I do lose patience, however. That's when I get sharp-tongued. But, it goes away soon enough.
There are some really interesting, intelligent, kind and lovely people on here!
Most people like me. But the ones who don't like me.....REALLY, REALLY don't like me.
I think it's because I have a low tolerance for people who dish out s**t.

I have absolutely no idea whether or not I am liked on JWN. I do get nice complimentary pm's from people sometimes, but I also get hateful replies and personal insults from many posters that don't like my stance on some issue.
In real life, my family, customers, close friends, and business associates seem to love, trust, or respect me.
How do you perceive me, Terry....honestly? I've been on this board over four years now. I have replied to a gazillion of your posts. In all those thoughts put into words, have you ever noticed or formed an opinion?
