No. I weighed up whether or not to go the first time after I stopped attending meetings as I thought maybe I should just go to give my parents some peace of mind, but I realised after I went that by going I would be showing that I believed, and that I thought I should go, and this would make me accountable to them and the organisation. I haven't been now for five years. I would worry about conversing with people there and being asked questions for which any or no answer would get me into trouble somehow. I think everyone knows that i'm not just "weak", so I'm better off staying away and off their radar screens.

reminds me of a lecture i heard in a sociology class
guest speaker was a female rabbi, a REAL departure
from the norm back in the late '70s....she talked about "american civil religion" which
included the developing trend of americans relying on
or utilizing religions (of all stripes) for the BIG THREEhatch, match, dispatch....
plus incidental "holy days/holidays"
it was/is something the participants DO
not necessarily anything they BELIEVE -
Crank!!!

Honesty
I got physically ill at the last one I attended in 2004 as I
Watched 200+ people rejecting Jesus.

I would feel horrible not to go.
I don't know your personal circumstances, but if you would actually feel bad about not attending. . . why not attend?
It's not like us apostates are gonna shun you because you went to the memorial.
