Come on all you slack, penniless and worn out JW septuagenerains living in crowded rest homes and hooked up to smelly dribble machines: Get off your inactive and bed-swollen butts and get out in the chilly streets and push those magazines. In the past, many seemingly sincere elderly brothers and sisters have used dementia as an excuse to pull away from pioneering. You will know who you are: own up to your shameful deception: If you can breathe, you can heave. I'll swing by tomorrow to gather all of you up.
If an 89 year old woman can pioneer, why can't you slackers and bums do it?

So, on the one hand they reduce the time requirement to actually "15 Minutes" yes fifteen minutes so that poor old women like this can feel that they have Jah's blessing inspite of inability to get out for more than that. Then they suggest that they can get 70 hours. Its like dropping the book study after saying for years that meeting would allow for surviving the great trib because of the nature of that arrangement. They are bat-shit crazy. If guilting elderly ones like this to engage in this insanity is not elder abuse, well I don't know what is. I was actually wondering if this might not be another of these silly things sliped in by a disgruntled writer. It really does sound inane. Because she had not been in the hospital?? So get out there quick cause ya never know when you'll be off to the haspital again. Just sayin. They are either bat-shit crazy or someone is pulling someones leg.

Here's a small story for you guy's. This last few weeks in our travels about town down here in Melbourne Aust.
We have encountered pioneers a few times. 1st was a older sister sitting in an camping chair next to a hifi store in the sub of Dandenong, she just sat there holding the mags not saying a word. We walking past her twice looked at her and nothing, not a peep from here. No eye contact from her at all.
She just was staring out into space. I thought she was retarded before i saw the WT in her hand. Thats how bad she looked to onlockers who pasted by. And the want people to flock to this Organization/Religion. She was probably counting hours all day sitting there doing nothing. Idiots the lot of them.
The next encounter was in the Melb CBD, well we have seen them here a few times as the set up on a corner near our fav thai resturant. there is 2 or 3 pioneers the set up a little stand on the corner of Swanston & lt Burke st, I think its for the asian students as its unistudent city around there.
We have never seen them talking to anyone when we have past them, they are just standing around chatting to each other and the like, counting time. The funny thing i know there faces seen them at conventions in the past. hehe.
Anyway thats my Rant.

One time a 92-year-old sister insisted on getting out in service, so I checked out a trailer park territory because there were a lot of shade trees and the houses were close together - less walking. She worked for about 30 minutes and placed magazines at every single door. But obviously the housholders just felt sorry for her - they were probably thinking, "They make even the elderly ones go door to door?...I'm afraid to say No to this old woman, she might have a stroke on my front porch...I'll just take the magazines to be nice to her..." Her presentation was something like, "I have the latest copies of the Watchtower and Awake magazines, [handing them to householder] these are your copies." The people smiled, took them and said, "Thank you," and closed the door.

They interviewed 2 brothers at the KM school I attended. Both had severe health problems. So, there's no way you could step down if these two can keep going, right?
