What happens on this forum is no different than society in general. It just seems more apparent because it is a smaller pool, just like JWs. They're both microcosms of mass society.
I don't belong here anymore

His first mistake was rolling with the signature, "MS."

A popular poster will start a thread and all the same ones comment, even if there's not much substance to the thread.
Whereas a least frequent, perhaps newer poster will post something really profound, or interesting, or maybe they've just summed up the courage to post.... and they're ignored. Why?
Why? Because everyone is different. Some are Spumoni, and some are Tin Roof Sundae.

Thanks Nomad. Every now and then something good pops out of the ol' skull.

Swimming around in my idealogical wish-tank, I dared to think that after 20,30,40 years as JW's, most here would no longer want to be "just like them" . . . my mistake . . . but it justifies my post.
@AGuest
Thanks for the post . . . all I can say in response is . . . I love animals too, but I don't visit the Zoo everyday.

I understand this.
Once I started a thread on the evolution of K.I.T.T. through the Knight Rider series - trying to have a serious discussion, mind you - and it only garnered one serious post outside of a handful of "STFU's". (And it was from that nutjob who thinks he's Sam Heard.)

Now see, I would be more inclined to discuss the evolution of DATA on Star Trek the Next Generation

Umm...you left out "T hey're both microcosms of mass society." What I didn't say that this forum was no different than JWs. Rather, the behaviour you mention is just human nature, we see it in society. But tends to get magnified in smaller groups: cults, forums, knitting clubs, girl guides, world of warcraft.
Seriously though sizemik, come or go, it's obviously up to you. But it is just a forum. Take care, walk hard.
