He's a good bull shitter, I'll give him that much. Phony as a $6 dollar bill, but hey, a hustle is a hustle. Whether its dope on the corner, or political dope for conservative fiends. Who's pimpin who?

It's not that he's phony, he just shoots himself in his feet often, I think. You know that drive new Witnesses get and it makes them extra cooky? You know how, for some, that cookiness never goes away? I think that's what happened to Glen and I think he's beginning to realize it.

I have to disagree with you there, respectfully. He hasn't shot himself in the foot, and he doesn't have the zeal that newly baptized JWs have in the beginning. No, he's hustling conservatives, much in the same way Palin is. They're playing a character, much like wrestlers do on WWE. People like Beck are ultimately what created satirical characters like Stephen Colbert. The only difference is, Colbert acknowledges its an act, where as Glenn Beck is taking advantage of all of those that want to believe he's being truthful. I don't believe Beck believes in 1/2 of the nonsense he spouts.

He's a convicted man and I like his drive and passion for honesty.

Just the level of intellect I expect from a Beck fan.

Do you mean to say he has convictions? Lots of people do, that doesn't mean he is right.

We differ because, so far, I see Beck as benevolent and you see him as malevolent. I don't disagree with you, if he is indeed lying to millions of people he is not benevolent. I don't think he's lying, I think, if anything, he is facilitating false information. But isn't that what he campaigns against?

No matter how his story ends I will always believe he started in good noble intentions. Maybe he is a case of absolute power? He sure has a lot influence and that translates into power.

I'm not interested in right/wrong with him. I am not a conventional Beck fan. I'd love to have a talk with Beck so I could calm him down and allow him to help. He needs a chill pill, imo and has great potential.

He's a man that wants to help, I have never seen anything to make me think otherwise. Evidence could certainly change my opinion.

I was a bit of a fan at one point [though not rabid about it] - but he increasingly sounds like a doomsday preacher to me and I hear enough of that shit without listening to him. I typically make 5 minutes on his radio program before I turn it off.

BTW - I am moderately conservative in most respects, but this guy is out of control IMO. I get tired of hearing his Mormon theology recycled as conservatism.

I have suspicions that he is going to leave the Morman Faith if he has not already. He's too logical to buy into that crap; I think his doomday message will fizzle and he'll be forced to start talking about things that matter. We may have a doomsday by our own making in the future. It's good advice to create a plan of action for such an emergency. Whether or not the bad things that happen in the future is "Bible Prophecy" or not is just distracting from the tasks at hand.

He has no convictions that have merit; he has no interest in moving the country forward.

This is the man who said Obama hates white people. His mother, of course, is white. He is half white.

This is the guy who sold emergency backpacks.

    Backpacks.

He is a pure huckster; he will, and has, said anything to get a rise out of people.

If he is not completely nuts, he is completely corrupt.

And by the way, he is now mega rich; his contract with fox was worth, what, hundreds of millions?

I have said many things in my life that I would like to take back. Don't you?

I don't condone his drama-mongering, but I do acknowledge his talent and his underlying message that is sound.
