If he is not completely nuts, he is completely corrupt.

What is your opinion on his original motives for entering the media? What do you think they were?

I have said many things in my life that I would like to take back. Don't you?

I don't condone his drama-mongering, but I do acknowledge his talent and his underlying message that is sound.

Sab we all have though. Man I wish I could take a ton of things I said back. When I spoke them I was heavier on emotion as opposed to logic. I was speaking before giving significant thought to the subject. Glenn Beck isn't guilty of speaking out of emotion. He's playing a character, a role, pandering to certain segments of our population. The whole Obama hates white people thing was a classic example. Nobody is going to get on the radio or television and make a comment like that, especially if the radio personality isn't a rookie. Considering how populations in white areas for were overly suspicious of Obama, makes Glenn Beck's comments all the more curious. He's a rabble rouser, nothing more, and doing it methodically.

To me, Glen Beck's message is anti-armchair politics. He's about standing up for what you believe in and facilitating growth and change. Not just yelling and complaining, but keeping yourself informed and allowing that information to empower you to action. That message is what this world needs.

Even if my political views were opposite of Beck's I could still have beer with him because we'd both know that we're fighting the good fight and were on the same side. I think a lot of people are losing that perspective: we are on the same side.

You might not know it by observing us.

Glen Beck tells his audience to check everything he says. That gets gold stars aplenty in my book. Maybe that's because of my roots, but I have a soft spot for revolutionaries.

Hmmm, you are describing the actions of someone who is trying to invoke response. I have listened to many hours of his radio show. He is much like me as in he is an open book. You think it's just a character and it is to a point, just as I am a character on this forum as are you. But we still show through and if the people that read this look closely they can see us.

I do that with Beck as I listen to his radio show. I feel like I hear something under his words that are always there.

Miz, when you read my words don't you hear a second version of them within your mind? Because there are the words that are actually said and then there are the words that aren't really words at all, but internal reactions from external stimuli.

I used to listen to him and other righty talk-shows back when I was trucking. Beck made no secret back then that his show was BS and meant to be entertainment. While I agree that he's much like a WWE wrestler in that he knows he's acting much of the time, I also believe that he has chosen to use his gullible audience that may not realize that he's spouting bullshit on purpose to further a particular agenda. His drive is that he's a former pill popper and alcoholic and he wants to give his second chance all he can. He dreams of being the next Rush Limbaugh with the media empire that goes with it.

That is such an odd description of Glen Beck, CoonDawg. You are saying that he is ok with spewing lies on a radio show to further a political agenda and make money. You are calling him completely corrupt and evil, which is not a bad thing, I was just curious if you knew that.

What is your opinion of a man with such an ambition?

Seems like when he first started on fox he was more mild mannered. As time went on he became quite outrageous. The more outrageous he became, the more his ratings went up.. That was working really well for him , so............

he continued . The more he turned up the volume, the more money he made. I liked him better when he talked instead of screamed.I can't say I blame him. He's making a good living. It's all an act!!!!
