  Americans drink beer as a recreational activity, which is no different than abusing prescription drugs. The people who laugh and scoff at preaching against beer have never stood over the graves of a mother and child killed by a drunk driver. I have. I'll never forget that little casket being lowered alongside the mother's casket, because some drunk driver killed them. The drunk driver lived. We live in a morally toxic society in America.

  Young girls today, they want to have fun. Young girls today just wanna party. Today young girls wanna go to a nightclub and have open sex on the floor of the nightclub, and then put it on YouTube, and if they should get pregnant they want to throw the baby into a dumpster. That's the new America! No morals. No self-respect. No nation. No borders. No language. No culture. No responsibility.

  There's absolutely no reason for anyone to drink booze in America. None! Americans have proven themselves to be an irresponsible group of pleasure seekers, arrogant idiots and blame-shifters. The killing continues! Which of your loved ones will be next?

  Geez. Exaggerate much? All of these examples that you have listed are exceptions to the rule. Sure, people drink irresponsibly and drive drunk, no arguing that. However, there are a lot of folks who use a designated driver or take a cab when they're out drinking.

  To claim that ALL young girls want to go to clubs and openly have sex on the dance floor is ludicrous. Come on. Statements like this really just make you appear to be very unreasonable and sensational. Even more ludicrous is to claim that young pregnant women dump their newborns in a dumpster. Sure, there have been a handful of cases of this happening over the past several years. You know why we hear of these rare instances? BECAUSE THEY MAKE FOR GOOD NEWS STORIES!

  To call ALL Americans irresponsible, arrogant, blame-shifters again, is being sensational. Just because you don't think people should drink alcohol, doesn't make it the right way. I really enjoy a nice, handcrafted, beautifully matured whisk(e)y. I am mature enough to enjoy it responsibly. I've NEVER injured anyone as a result of drinking. There are far more people out there with stories like mine than there are people who get drunk and injure and kill people. Again, it boils down to media making it sound like everyone who drinks is a drooling sociopath because it makes for a good news story. People don't want to hear about how people do things responsibly and without negative consequences. That's not titillating.

  Please don't presume to tell me that I don't have the right to enjoy an adult beverage responsibly. Who do you think you are? You listed a few "problems" with "New America". Here's what I believe is the biggest problem in America today: Uneducated, sanctimonious blow-hards who think it's their responsibility to push their morals on everybody else. That's the biggest problem with America, Period.

  I'm sorry you've been hurt by alcohol, but the fact that some have abused it does not make it an evil. Cars kill people even without alcohol, so does fast food, pollution, and any number of other things that exist in the modern world. But that doesn't mean everything should be banned. Sometimes the price of a free society is that some people will abuse that freedom in stupid ways. You sound bitter and angry, and I think you are lashing out as some kind of coping mechanism, and your bitterness towards society I think is a symptom of your pain. But this raging at and fear mongering people on the internet isn't going to help. You may need to see a therapist to help you cope. I wish you the best.

  While I appreciate that you lost your child... I would think something like say... child obesity has is a much bigger problem for far more children.

  Maybe we should ban Twinkies and cookies while we're at it - by your philosophy, there is no good reason for anyone in America to eat a twinkie or chocolate cake.

  (Personally, I was struck by lightning as a child... while going door-to-door no less. So, naturally, I think we should ban lightning. Go-Go-Gadget Climate Change!!)
