As for the rest of us; we don't need to lie.

Not to be a jerk, but yes I have on many occasions seen Apostates lie. I have also seen them get down right rude, been assholes and back bitting. As with any group on all sides of the issues, going to have some bad apples in the bunch.

In general, I have not seen lying to be part of the scheme used by apostates [formerJehovah's Witnesses] to villify the religion.

There is no need to lie, as the facts are more damning. In fact, it seems to me that apostates of that religion are generally more honest than proponents of that faith. Not to state that as a body of persons they have more integrity - but in this issue, they seem interested in keeping facts as basis for discussion.

But then again - haven't apostates from various religions throughout history been maligned as 'liars, theives, haters of God'? Ad Hominem attacks against individuals are hard enough to defend - when a religious body attacks an ill-defined group in such a manner, it is no surprise that the flock believes every word.

Of course they do. But it's not organized to the the same extent that the WTS pulls it off !

The WTS has more truths to hide though - on the whole I think we're a pretty transparent / simple bunch. The WTS is a web of lies and deceit though.

Our 'lies' don't kill people, don't break up families and don't encourage people to sacrifice themselves for some false god.

Now, do you think lies are all equal? If so, you're an eedjit.

Aposates do not attack Jehovah, Jesus, the Holy spirit, or anything about the bible. Just the imperfect dozen men who run the Watchtower and their view of the bible.
