  I will record the show, yes, but won't decide whether to make the recording public until I see how it goes.

  For the record, I put less than 30 seconds of research into choosing a host site. I know a guy who uses ustream and likes it and recommended it. That was the extent of my research. So please don't anyone take my choice of ustream as some sort of endorsement. It may well prove to suck. We'll find out on Saturday.

  One thing it couldn't do successfully is filter my voice through garageband. I REALLY wanted to sound like PC, too, dammit!

  Does Garage Band have a vocal compressor?

  You need some better hardware, but I wish you luck and will be listening!

  I think a compressor is one of the effects/adjustments. Garageband has all kinds of stuff in it. I'm using the 2008 version, so the latest is probably even better and easier. But alas, though it should work on something like iChat or skype (according to reports) I couldn't get it to work with ustream (which is flash based).

  As for podcasting it through iTunes, do you mean live or later on? Once the show is done I think I can do whatever I want with it. I'll have to check the ustream terms of service, though. There's a chance I'd have to leave it on their site only.
