It was a very humbling realization to come to the understanding that I was just the same as everyone else, that I had no business going to their doors and telling them that what Jehovah's Witnesses had to offer was better than whatever it was they believed. I mean, who the hell did I think I was, preaching to them?? I was nobody.
Exactly.
I remember going to a very humble, yet spotless, home where the young woman of the house told me that she knew she was going to meet Jesus one day.
I took down her name and made notes for a return visit.
I prayed about her all that week. Then, a realization hit me that I also would like to meet Jesus!
I crumpled up the RV slip and tossed it into the trash.
Who was I to convince her that she would probably never look upon the face of Jesus of Nazareth?
That would have been the height of presumptuousness.
