Mat is doing the JW's proud, LOL !
PSacramento. You have a hang up over the vowels to Adonai being attributed to the English transliteration of the tetragram. Tell me, which vowels would you prefer?
The vowels that are applicable to " I am that I am" from Exodus, DUH !
That said, why would you rather the consonants YHWH over JHVH?
Irrelevant since THEY are NOT the problem.
I prefur JHVH because it is consistent with EVERY OTHER NAME IN THE BIBLE but I guess that counts for nothing with you. So please- 1) which vowels, and 2) why the Y and W instead of J and V?
The "Y" is pronounce like the "soft J" as I already mentioned earlier, you can write ir Jahveh or even Jehveh if you want and that would be totally fine and correct.
What is NOT correct is "Jehovah" since it is not correct based on "I am that I am" and since we KNOW that the letters don't belong there because we KNOW they were add from ANOTHER WORD that has NOTHING to fo with the name/wrod YHWH.

'Tetragram' just means four letters. In this case the four Hebrew letters that make the proper name of the God of the bible.

PSacramento, I am that I am i just the meaning of the verb that the tetragram is based on. It has nothing to do with it's english transliteration. What have you got against the letter V in God's name? Do you object to it in David and Levi? Also do you pronounce Jerusalem like it's a soft Y?
And don't say 'Duh' to me. It's rude.

Jay88..
The name of God was not meant to be spoken. That why a tetragram was developed..
That was not the case for other names in the Bible..

So how can one compare a name written in code, to words not written code and use that as support for their arguement?

...and calling someone a c*** isn't?
He deserves it. If you are just going to mock rather than discuss something properly you earn no respect from me.

Mat is doing the JW's proud, LOL !--- using the language he used he should be ashamed of himself! Using the c word and telling someone to go f themselves? really? why do jw's always resort to this when anyone points out they are wrong? See posting guidlines #3 Mat. Now go wash your mouth out with soap.
