The escapeing aliens knowing their life support systems were about to fail implanted their embryo's in various females on the planet earth in hopes of preserving their once glorious civilization.

It's as good of an explanation as any.

I can see that. Happy... and very handsome, yes? Shoot, who wouldn't want to "follow" someone that good-looking and that... "cool"? Click, click, wink, wink... right at'cha, dude!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, happiness is universal.

The beauty of spirit is soemthing that trancends all physicallity.

Folks are in for a surprise, though... just as they were in the early first century...

Jeez Shel, he wasn't that hideous!

    Ah, well... peace, my dear!
Your servant, sister, and fellow slave of Christ,
SA, who wasn't trying to throw a wet blanket, but just tryin' to keep it real... you know, really real and not just "tell us what we want to hear/show us what we want to see 'real'"...

I understand and love you for that, as do we all, but I hope you understand my point too :)

Let me show you what I mean:

There is another that is very popular from where my wife is from, it is quite disturbing also.

Having been exposed to these images, seeing a smiling and happy Jesus ie: loving Jesus, is a good thing IMHO.

Perhaps, he can explain who killed Him and made Him God?

Well, I think it's fairly simple. The Pharisees, infiltrated by secret societies, at least attempted to kill him, and then they later infiltrated the Catholic Church, put together the New Testament, and made him God based on twisting all the old Christos/Krishna/Mithra myths. Even their own Bible says this secret society is responsible for killing everybody. It's called "Babylon the Great".

Personally though, I think Jesus survived the crucifixion and lived to be over 100, being married, raising a family, and doing extensive travelling......

blood, blood, BLOOOD! Perfect BLOOOD to make God happy! Human Sacrifice. Asphyxiation or stroke, etc. not good enough, there must be bloody blood and death to please. Sheep and cow blood was OK for a while but human blood, perfect fresh hot human blood is the best!

    simple religion for simple people.

Dearest PSacto, the greatest of love and peace to you... and I hear you. I get what you mean, so carry on (although, yeah, he really is that hideous appearing, by human standards, anyway. As I've posted before, there is a reason one cannot look at the face of JAH... and live. It ain't 'cause He's too holy to be gazed upon - although that's a good reason. It's because our flesh could not withstand it - which is why no MAN (human) can do it. Spirit beings do it all the time. My Lord is not only a spirit being... but the IMAGE... and REFLECTION... of JAH. Think about that, dear one).

SA - "Sinless flesh does not die."

    WL - Evidence, please?

It is sinFUL flesh, dear WontLeave (peace to you, as well!)... flesh with sin IN it... so as to have death IN it... that dies.

WL - Adam would have continued to live, had he access to the Tree of Life.

Yes, because eating from that "Tree" would have cleansed him OF his sin (and so removing the corruption... and death... now IN it), returning him to a state of sinLESSness. And so, against, sinLESS flesh does not die. It is sinFUL flesh... flesh with sin IN it... that dies.

WL - If he was created without sin and sinless flesh is immortal, why did God create the Tree of Life?

The Most Holy One of Israel didn't "create" the Tree of Life, dear one - that One (the Tree) was born. The purpose is to sustain the life of ALL things... spirit as well as flesh with its own blood. Like us, Adham was a spirit... residing in a VESSEL of flesh. It was his flesh that died, not his spirit. The spirit... must be destroyed. Immortality does not mean it can have no end - it means it doesn't end. The spirit, which is immortal, CAN end... it just doesn't DIE as an end, as flesh does.

In order to sustain their immortality, spirit beings "eat" from the Tree of Life. When they cease eating (because of being barred), they don't die; however, they become weakened so that they can BE destroyed. The Tree of Knowledge (of good AND bad) affected Adham's flesh... which died. It did not affect his SPIRIT... which must still stand judgment. It will be resurrected to do so (as will almost all, because there will be a resurrection of the righteous... AND the unrighteous - the righteous to life, the unrighteous to judgment). Since their spirits weren't destroyed, they, too, will have to stand judgment.

SA - It was a ransom because he gave his life to repurchase US, not to "undo" what Adham "did."
WL - For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. - 1Cor 15:21-22

Yes, that's what I said: my Lord does the resurrecting. Adham did what he did... and because of that ALL die. Everyone. However, through Christ, although all will be "made alive"... it is so that they are either given life... or placed to stand in the judgment. Being made alive means being resurrected. It does not mean all such ones will live (forever). Because not all WILL live.

All who BELONG to him, yes... and particularly all of ISRAEL. Those are resurrected (made alive) so as to receive LIFE. Some, though (Gog, Magog, and those who cannot pass the Judgment)... will not live. The first two groups do not experience a resurrection because they haven't died... until they are destroyed at Har-Mageddon. The second are raised (made alive), yes, in the general resurrection, but only to stand (be made alive) and be JUDGED. For which they die... again. In the second death. These actually die twice.

WL - Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. - Rom 5:18-19

The many will be made so. However, there will be those who will not be able to escape Gehenna, unfortunately.

SA - My Lord resurrected himself... just as he (not God) will resurrect those who belong to him.
WL - But God raised him from the dead - Acts 2:24; God has raised this Jesus to life - Acts 2:32; God raised him from the dead - Acts 13:34; By his power God raised the Lord from the dead - 1Cor 6:14

Well, you're gonna have to ask yourself something here, dear one, and that is who SHOULD you believe: Luke, who was not inspired and wrote what others (who claimed to be eyewitnesses) told him occurred... Paul, who often contradicted himself, admitted he wasn't always speaking by holy spirit, and whose writings weren't always his own but that of those who "assisted" him? Or Christ, himself?

I have learned that it's MUCH safer to put my faith in what my Lord himself tells me... which he is recorded to have said and corroborates in the writings... than in men, one of which wasn't led by holy spirit OR my Lord and the other who admits he wasn't always so led. But you must choose for yourself. I would ask you, though, what is the POINT in being given the KEYS to death... and Hades... and ALL authority, in heaven AND on earth... if you couldn't either to get back from the dead? My LORD directs me to ask you, how where those he raised so raised? Was it God who raised THEM... or was it him... by means of God's authority?

You will have to decide the answer to these things for yourself, dear one. OR... you can always go to him... and ask. For yourself. That way, you don't have to take ANYONE'S word for it, including mine.

SA: my Lord's hair is white.
WL: A spirit has no physical qualities.

That is an error: many of the "physical" qualities we have are only in imitation of spirit beings. We have eyes; they have eyes. We have ears; they have ears. And heads, legs, arms, faces, noses... and hair.

WL - a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have - Luke 24:39

This is true: they don't have flesh and bone... as WE have... which is what my Lord showed his disciples when he appeared to them after his resurrection. But they certainly have flesh and bone. Just as Eve was flesh of Adham's flesh and bone of his bone... those who belong to Christ are flesh of HIS flesh... and bone... of HIS bone. The different is the BLOOD. Flesh with ITS blood, which is what earthling man has... is enslaved, encapsulated. It must eat [physical food], sleep, pee, poop, etc. It only lives so long... and has sickness in it (so that it ages). Flesh with GOD'S blood... holy spirit... is FREE. It is not enslaved to such things... and does not/cannot die (although it can be destroyed). It does eat, though, "manna"... the "leaves" from the Tree [of Life]. That is what sustains spirit beings. When they STOP eating... because of being cut off... they are then weakened so as to be able to BE destroyed.

Again, you're going to have to decide who to "listen" to, Paul... or Christ. I will tell you that while Paul taught that we are to "remove" some from the Body, Christ NEVER taught such a thing. Ever. Which is why Paul and Apostles were divided and so went their separate ways for some 14 years. It is also why the Corinthian congregation was almost destroyed - become some followed Paul, while others disagreed and stuck to what they'd been taught by Christ and the Apostled... and later heard from Christ, the Holy Spirit, by means of the anointing they received. When Paul [finally] realized what was about to happen because of HIS misteachings... HE repented and changed his instructions. Really.

I hope this helps, dear WontLeave, and, again, I bid you peace!

    A slave of Christ,

    SA

P.S. There is a reason why the Most Holy One of Israel TOLD Israel... and all mankind... to KISS... the SON. Because it is the same as with Joseph and Pharaoh: although it was Pharaoh's grain, he gave the AUTHORITY to dispense it to Joseph. One HAD to go to Joseph, NOT Pharaoh... and Joseph would dish out their measure of "life" (food/grain). It is the same with life - it is God's authority to grant life... and He gave that authority to His Son, Christ, the "greater" Joseph. One CANNOT go directly to the Most Holy One of Israel for ANYTHING... unless one has been granted to do so by "Joseph" (Christ). For the most part, one must go to JOSEPH (Christ)... and THROUGH him. For food... grain... and life. Because HE is the Tree... of Life. The True Vine, the Root of Jesse... Sprout.

Oh, I though you where referring to how Our Lord looked when in human form, I didn't realize you meant how He looks in "all his glory".

I can only go on what I have read and what has been revealed to me and yes, I see your point but I have not been blessed with such a vision, I don't hink I am ready for that yet.

    Shel is quite correct here.

Paul's zeal at times and his upbringing, caused a lot of confusion and strife at times, His words were often misinterpreted to boot ( See the end of 2Peter) and it cause him great pain at times, While his zeal is what drove him to preach as much as he did and spread the Word liek he did, it also got the best of him, soemthing he lamented on more than one occasion.

An imperfect human, like the rest of Us.

I am not a JW and do not fear any man. My relationshop is direct with my Lord.

Now, why did Jesus perform miracles when on the earth? When on earth Jesus cured the sick, fed the hungry, and calmed storms. He even raised the dead. Why did he perform miracles? He felt pity for people who were suffering, and he wanted to help them. His miracles proved that he was God's Son. They showed what he will do for mankind when he extends his kingly administration.

I think Jesus coming to earth as a man was a wise choice.

He wouldn't have received the same respect if he had come to earth as a bicycle or ceiling tile.
