How many here would be prepared to reveal thier real identity NOW ?

  Hey there is nothing sinister here.Firstly all my Questions and requests were removed, by the mods or my PC has a gremlin !

  Had my questions been posted, the the thread would have made sense, I was looking for information, for eg, I dont have any family who are JW,s so for me to post my identity is pretty much meaningless. WHAT I wanted to FIND OUT were what the rammifications would be for people who post here , IF they revealed thier true identity ? How would the release of this information impact on there lives ? I have NO family or friends who are JW,s . I want to find out what stresses and strains people would undergo as a result off their identitys being made public, thats all.

  just to clarify, I DO NOT WANT PEOPLE TO REVEAL WHO THEY ARE, id just like some of you to explain to me, some of my questions above, I hope this has claified my request, thanks for your help

  How do you expect people to take you seriously when you post rude things -ie; limp wristed homos? My wrists (and other certain appendages) are far from limp, and your stereotype was childish. If you want people to take you seriously, maybe try being a bit nicer...

  @ Ohiocowboy, Yes I am sorry if I offended you or anyone else for that matter, that homophobic outburst was stupid and juvinile, Im still trying to put on THE NEW PERSONALITY. I was so dam frustrated that I couldnt steer the thread into the direction I wanted, As i mentioned, I DID NOT WANT ANYONE TO REVEAL WHO THEY WERE, I just wanted to understand the rammifications IF peoples true identitys became known.

  I had femail posters and others who ,totally missed the point, and that happened as a consequence of NONE of my questions and requests for info showed up on the screen, so the thread looked ludicrous, and i was jumping up and down getting frustrated and angry, and I posted those stupid comments in frustration, sorry for the homophobia, its kind of been ingrained in me, believe me OHIO, thats just one of the hundreds of things Im working to put right at the moment

  Eruption, thank you for explaining your motives for this thread. I hope that your blank posts are the result of a technical glitch, and not from the actions of moderators, because if the moderators had anything to do with it then they should have put something in your post to indicate it had been edited.

  As for myself, I am not a total mystery. I am on Facebook and most of my friends know my identity on other boards. My photos are on Facebook and other places. The thing is, those who know me are people I trust, who are just as trusting and have offered friendship to me also.

  However, for the reasons that others have mentioned, namely personal security, I am not going to reveal all here just for the fun of it.

  As I've mentioned here many times before, I have close family that are still in the bOrg and I just can't take a chance of them knowing that I post here. Not yet! Yes, odds are that nobody in my family would ever dare to lurk here. Yes, odds are that pretty well nobody in my local congo even gives a shit about me anymore and no faithful JW has any business lurking in a place like this anyway. Can I be entirely sure though? Many of the stories I've read here have left me a bit paranoid. I know for sure that local rats and spies do lurk where they ought not AND they will throw you under the bus anyway, even at the risk of incriminating themselves. I was already at the butt end of that once.

  There IS this one "brother" whom I used to be friends with, though, who keeps emailing me every once in a blue moon out of so-called personal concern so I doubt that I'm completely off the radar of ALL the locals. He keeps thinking that he's going to rescue me from "spiritual death" someday and he just has to try to keep tabs on me until I turn around... someday. That ain't happening! A local friend of my out-of-town sister left a couple of magazines and a little "love note" the other day as well. My sister has previously denied putting this friend up to this kind of stuff before but I'm still not sure.

  Yes, I am on Facebook, but sorry folks, it is only an assumed name that I go by. Need I repeat why? If I trust you enough, I just might tell you a little bit more about my real life in more private corners of the web, if you ask...

  The great thing about anonymity is that it allows for complete freedom of speech and opinions. I'm sure alot of the healthy debates that take place here would never have occured if people were cautious of their identity being revealed. That being said, sometimes anonymity gives a bit too much of a free hand, in that people can be hurtful and rude without any concern for who they're talking to on the other side of the computer screen.
