I saw a cardiologist today in an informal setting.

Without my chart in hand, he told me that I most likely did not experience a straightforward TIA, from which full recovery would have been within, perhaps, a couple hours. He described my episode as a mild form of hypertensive encephalopathy.

I'm only now getting back my normal speech (but not totally). The simplest day-to-day procedures were not automatic but pondered, then acted upon with unusual slowness.

I think I'm normal now ...
